Today we’d like to introduce you to Adonis Thrax.
Adonis is professional dot-connector specializing in turning visions into reality.
Adonis was born and raised Stone Mountain/Lithonia Georgia and he is quick to let you know it. Set out on walking in his purpose and staying true to his values, Adonis has used life lessons as a mechanism to construct positive change in his community. Adonis got his “start” in his younger days as a student-athlete learning leadership skills on an off the court.
Over the course of the last 5-6 years, Adonis would tell you the most important thing he has discovered is knowing yourself. As an advocate for personal growth and development, Adonis is big on perspective and understanding others, a concept many overlook. He does his best to lead by example and use his talents and gifts to make not only himself but other better along their journey. Upon graduation from high school, he found himself at the illustrious Georgia State University. It was here where his passion for event planning begun.
While at Georgia State University, Adonis found himself heavily involved with the institution. He worked on for programming board where he and carried out major events, created an organization from the ground up that was credited as the organization of the year within the year being charted, aided in the office of the President and much more.
Over the course of his event career, Adonis has worked with brands such as One Music Fest, Spotify, G-Eazy, Gunner Stahl, Luda Day Weekend/DTP and many more. Upon complete college, Adonis launched Level Up Atlanta, an event curation company focused on elevating the city of Atlanta through impactful events and content creation and also serves as the Marketing Manager for A3C Festival & Conference.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
– FINANCES: The road to greatness usually isn’t an easy one and no cares how hard it is for you. Everyone has needs and things they are dealing with, especially bills. It can be very challenging to build your dream with little to no funds and a guy like me was working 3-4 jobs at one time while being a full-time student. Cars broke down, leases were terminated, life happened but that doesn’t stop the show.
– SACRIFICES: There comes great sacrifice with getting to where you’re trying to go in life. For me, it was time, money, fun, relationships. I had to dig deep into who exactly I am so I could work to become a better version of myself every single day. That is something very complex and to become better means to develop from where you were, which requires letting go and making changes.
– RELATIONSHIPS: Many relationships took turns along the journey (the journey is still taking its course). As unfortunate as it might be, some people are only in your life for a certain amount of time and that it just what it is.
People grow apart which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I try to be the best me that I can be and hope I’m accepted for that. I’m very thankful for the people that are still there (no matter how we may or may not talk because it’s all love no matter what).
