Today we’d like to introduce you to Aja Edwards.
Aja, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m 24 years old, born and raised from Tuscaloosa, AL. I became an entrepreneur at the age of 20. Being so young at the time, I didn’t take things very seriously. At the age of 21, I became a mother to my beautiful daughter, Aubrie Canari. After having my daughter, I decided to take a leap of faith. Quitting my full-time job, I put my all into “Aja Shania Hair & Co”. I knew then I had to change the hair game and remind myself not to let up.
Overall I have continued to push through the trials and tribulations to create a unique experience for my supports.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road wasn’t always smooth. I definitely went through different trials and tribulations but I’m a strong believer. God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers. At the beginning, I struggle through this process mentally, physically, and emotionally but I know the end will be full of glory.

Aja Shania Hair & Co. is a hair and accessories company that provides premium hair extensions with a highlight of our luxury body and hair accessories. I’m also the face of my brand, wearing many hats. As the photographer, marketing manager, etc., I’m willing to do what I need to take my business to the next level. While working hard and staying dedicated with consisted goals has set me apart from others. Seeing my company elevate and prosper to the next level is what makes me proud. Let’s just the “The Marathon Must Continue”.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I personally define success as being a leader to achieve collective and individual goals. My criteria on success is having a positive impact on others. Being grateful and generous of the thing I have and working hard to achieve.
