Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Naze.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I went to school in Pittsburgh (Le Cordon Bleu) but for Hospitality and Restaurant Management. I have always had a desire to cook. My mom still talks about how You would never find me hungry because I would make something to eat…and boy could I eat! Lol.
I got my first four years of experience managing Million Dollar restaurant’s in a Casino while I lived in West Virginia. I Believe this is where my desire for Bakery Heightened!
My husband and I then moved to Georgia in 2012, in which I was still managing restaurants, but this time I was affiliated with chains (Ruby Tuesday’s & Olive Garden). It was a Great Experience but in my heart I still wanted to do more. I needed to be involved in a business or brand that I could still connect with people, but also show my Love Of Christ and His Love For Us. So I started baking, and there came TubsOfLove which I later changed to TubsOfLove23 (the 23 is our wedding date).
I left restaurant Management in 2015 and went back into waitressing and in 2018 we got Pregnant with our Miracle Baby after trying for seven years! And after she was born in March 2019, I’m now able to be home with her and Focus more on The Vision of Our Family and TubsOfLove23.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
💜A smooth road? What’s That?
Who has those? Can I have one? Ha.
Having a Homebased business that seems to be a side hustle, doesn’t seem to have the greatest outlet of advertisement. But isn’t that how most start anyway? It is hard to market yourself alone.
That’s also why I depend a lot on referrals, handing out my business cards whenever I can (my husband is great at this!), baking for parties whenever I can & lately building my social media presence. In which you can find TubsOfLove23 on Facebook and Instagram.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
💜I have always had and still do have a heart for the needy. And that’s not just the homeless, but anyone with a need, especially for children. Jesus makes it clear in Matt-25:31-46 that that is anyone we can reach.
TubsOfLove23 is a bakery business that loves to give back. We are so God-Proud to say that with every purchase received at least 15% is given back out to do just that! Our Baked Goods have grown from offering just Fresh Tubs of Cookie Dough to Cake Pops, Fresh Baked Cookie Platters and also Specialty Cut-Out Cookies.
Jesus also made it clear in John-13:35, that we will be known as His People by the Love we Give. God Gave first and The Greatest Gift in His Son, so I can never Out-give Him, even if I tried.
But to have the opportunity to be able to feed an individual or a family, or get clothing or pay a utility bill for someone in need. Is literally the least I can do now. My vision Gets Bigger and Bigger every time I’m able to help someone.
I know what’s like to need and to have that need met. That’s a joy I want to give out. But mostly I want Christ to be known in and through me & for him to receive the Glory.
It was in 2014 when I started off with just creating batches of Fresh Homemade Cookie Dough. My first and very popular recipe is the White Chocolate Crainberry Cookie Dough! And now five years later, I have over 15 types of Dough/Cookies to choose from!!
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
💜The future of TubsOfLove23 is bright & successful. As long as I keep my focus on our Vision & Mission I shall accomplish all that God wants me to. I personally want to continue to strengthen my art (yes my cookie art) as well as develop more relationships with other local businesses. But first to get an extra car so I can be more available for my clients.
💜I have a few to thank for inspiring me, most goes to Chef Philippe & Chef Steve Weiss (food Network star). On their amazing sugar sculptures and creativity. And countless of bakers, bakeries and home-bakers as well.
But when it comes to support first and foremost I have to thank the most amazing husband in the world! Chimdi Naze is one of the most encouraging and supportive people in my life!! And having him behind me and next to as I slowly grow has been super encouraging.
Also, I want to give big thanks to all my friends that have supported me, verbally and financially! Big shout-out to my amazing small group family from Victory Church! To my family back in Ohio and friends across the states near and far.
Thank You! I love you all! When you have supported me by ordering or praying or sending real support it has touched my soul!
