Amanda, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I think as a child, I knew I was a “little different,” as my interests were very different than those of most children. I had awareness in understanding what my psychic ability actually was around the age of 11.
That’s when it all began to come together for me.
However my family was aware of my psychic abilities since the time I began to talk, as they speak of times when I was a very small child as early as the age of three-talking about, and sometimes talking to family members whom I’ve never met that had crossed over. By the age of 11, I was obsessed with every aspect of the psychic and spiritual phenomenon from interacting with other energies/spirits to learning the origins and practices of ancient love spells and other magical and spiritual enchantments and rituals used from various parts of the world.
I am grateful to have a family that encouraged my psychic gifts rather than suppressing them or making me feel ashamed or weird for being who I am. That means so much to me as I was born and reared in the deep south, the bible belt of the world, where many view psychic abilities and psychic phenomenon as something that goes against traditional religious beliefs. My family was very religious, I even went to a private, Christian school for more than half of my life, so I was always torn between what myself and my family thought of my psychic gift and of what traditional religious followers thought about my psychic gift.
On the one hand, it’s viewed as a gift, and from others, it was viewed as simply wrong. I’d imagine that’s the same way those same people view things like homosexuality, interracial marriages, abortion and the like. I would often get in trouble at my Christian school because I would love to play “games” with my friends like, “think of something in your mind and let me tell you what it is,” or “let me see your palm so I can tell you what it says about your personality, or “hey I got this new Tarot deck for Christmas wanna check it out, it’s beautiful!”
I can laugh about it now, as with age, often comes wisdom but as a child, that was a complex dilemma. It took me a while to come to terms that my psychic gift is a blessing and that it absolutely, with all certainty, comes directly from the Creator, the Invisible Hand that guides it all. Now, I understand the duality of the Christ within and the Christ without. Traditional religion only wants us to honor the Christ outside of us, but I believe we should all have the awareness of who God is IN us! My family gave me so much love and support and encouraged my spiritual and psychic growth.
My mother is certainly an influential spiritual teacher for me, so while growing up, she was instrumental in helping me hone my psychic gifts and other spiritual practices such as chakra balancing, mastering spell work and the like. After graduating college, I began a career in corporate public relations for a highly visible, international, clean fuels company. I made great strides in that arena, as at 22 years old, I was garnering international business experience in China and other parts of Southeast Asia. Then, at the age of 24, something happened… I heard “The Voice.”
The message was clear and simple but left me very perplexed. The Voice instructed me to work from my strengths, not the “strengths” or skill set I learned in college or on my fabulous job, but my “true path,” my true skill set. The Voice assured me, “If you listen to what I am putting on your heart to do and work from your true strengths, your life will be exactly what you want and need-trust the Universe and trust yourself.” So I did it! I was 24, had just closed on my first home, I mean I had not even made the first payment yet! But I know my intuition and my relationship with the Creator so I was obedient to the voice and I quit my job.
The next day, I began building my psychic and spiritual practice and never, not once, by the Grace of God, have I ever missed a beat! You see, it never matters what ANYONE says about your life, it only matters what God says about your life. After a few years of building my practice, I moved to Atlanta in 2007, and have proudly been helping to change lives, one soul at a time. I don’t think anyone loves what they do or loves their clients as much as I love what I do and as much as I love my clients. They are my extended family! It is immensely rewarding to know I’ve helped guide the lives of thousands and thousands of people! It’s still so surreal sometimes.
Daily, I get tons of calls, emails, letters, photos from many of my past clients who are so happy to show me their babies and their weddings and keep me abreast of how they are growing and healing in their lives! I love that most of all! Has it been a smooth road?
Yes and no. I have been blessed to have some of the best clients in Atlanta and to be a leading psychic in Atlanta, which I think is an amazing place. I’m grateful to be able to share my gift and provide services to clients, not only in the Atlanta area but for people, from across the globe looking for an experienced and reputable psychic reader and spiritual practitioner. There is so much that people do not know about this business.
First, I’ll discuss the logistics… Licensing alone in the city of Atlanta for a psychic is quite complex. It costs about $1,000 dollars for licensing fees along with having a public hearing where the entire city council has to approve the business, and the mayor must sign off on it. Applicants must undergo a rigorous background check and submit various letters of recommendation.
This is because not all psychics are good psychics, just like all doctors aren’t good doctors and all lawyers aren’t good lawyers, and so on and so on, so I guess that’s the best way the city of Atlanta can “vet” applicants. What many people also do not know, is that when it comes to the business aspect of things, some would be competitors can become quite sheisty and territorial.
In most cities, the most visible psychics are often Romanian/gypsy psychics, and when psychics that are not of the same background have a real clientele and a strong presence, they don’t like that, at all. I have been, and continue to be harassed by some would be competitors in ways that you wouldn’t believe! They’ve tried it all from intense phone harassment, to actually in 2007 coming to my place of business with intimidation tactics, online bullying, writing fake reviews, trespassing, sending someone to my office to get a reading to see what I say.
From flat out telling me they wished I would leave because they feel I distract clients from their businesses. They have tried it all! That’s a whole article in itself! But for the most part, it’s been a joy being a psychic in Atlanta. I wish all the psychics here to grow in every way.

There is so much energy here, and I’m proud to be one of Atlanta’s favorite psychics! As far as what I least like about Atlanta? Well, I least like the traffic! But now, home prices seem to be at an all-time high! That concerns me for some of the city’s residents as fair and affordable housing is something everyone deserves to have.
Gentrification can be a wonderful thing, but the reality is that it pushes many working class citizens out of the areas they have literally lived in their entire lives. So, for that, I pray for balance.
