Today we’d like to introduce you to Amelia Harris.
Hi Amelia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Growing up, I lived on three different continents (Europe, Asia and, the U.S). One could say I was introduced to the life of real estate from an early age. Through all of our moves, we were able to connect to several real estate agents, and I admired them because they were not only assisting us through the housing process but they were also ambassadors of the countries we moved to. Seeing the difference, these agents made for us as well as other expats was incredibly inspiring. So after I graduated college, I was fortunate enough to join an exceptional real estate team (The Griffith Group) and begin my career. I worked in the industry for a year learning the ins and outs of the business while being in charge of marketing. In January 2021, I passed my RE Exam and became licensed. It has been an exhilarating ride so far. I am truly honored to now be in that position to help homebuyers and sellers while also being an ambassador of Atlanta.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
As with most things in life, there were some speed bumps along the way. Real estate covers many areas that you have to be knowledgeable about, such as local RE law, contracts, the mortgage world, the basics of issues in a home, etc. When I was first starting, the expectation of being well versed in the above was daunting. The good news is that you have so many resources in this industry, and it all becomes easier over time with practice.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a REALTOR® in Atlanta, GA and I work with a real estate team, “The Griffith Group.” We help our clients buy and sell homes all around Atlanta! My team lead is a top producing agent with over 20 years of experience, and as a group, we strive to provide the ultimate customer service experience. We are all passionate about real estate as well as dedicated to client care.
I personally love working with first-time homebuyers, clients who are relocating, and clients looking for investment opportunities. I am proud to help my clients find their place in the world, whether finding their dream home or selling their current property and embarking on the next chapter!
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I would have to say that the most important lesson I have learned is not to be afraid to reach out for help when needed and to keep asking questions. Whether you have been in the industry for one or 30 years, every day is a new learning experience.
