Today we’d like to introduce you to Anita Jordan.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Anita. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started SnacJunki Vegan because my youngest son is allergic to dairy and I wanted him to have options when picking out snacks. I’ve always enjoyed baking and preparing meals for my family but at this time, I was transitioning to a more plant-based diet so I began to research egg substitutes and discovered the magic of chickpea brine. After a few attempts, I created a delicious chocolate chip cookie that launched SnacJunki Vegan into existence and introduced the world to my handmade goods. Since starting, I’ve added new cookie flavors to my menu including coconut almond, oatmeal, crownies (a chocolate chip/fudge brownie combo), oatmeal cream pies, and double chocolate chip.
Has it been a smooth road?
My journey so far hasn’t been smooth but also hasn’t been extremely difficult either. There are moments that I feel overwhelmed a bit because stepping out and really taking a chance on a dream is exciting but also a bit scary. Thankfully, I am surrounded by positive and supportive friends and family that help me through moments of doubt and cheer me through moments of triumph.
SnacJunki Vegan – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
SnacJunki Vegan is a dairy and egg-free cookie company that provides delicious sweet treats that can be enjoyed by everyone. I think that SnacJunki Vegan is known for our chocolate chip cookie because it’s the cookie that officially introduced us to the world.
I am most proud of our growth and drive to improve and produce better products. I shipped my first order off in August 2019 and since that time, I’ve introduced more flavors such as double chocolate chip, coconut almond, oatmeal, crownies (chocolate chip/fudge brownie combo), and oatmeal cream pies. What sets us apart from other companies is that I am a one-woman show. All orders are freshly prepared, packaged, and labeled by me so I know that the utmost amount of love and care went into each order.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like best about Athens, GA is the diversity. I’ve met many helpful and supportive people from all walks of life that are rooting for SnacJunki Vegan to win.
