Meet Ashley Cromwell of Mohini Tribe Beauty in Decatur

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Cromwell.

Ashley, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
An around the way girl from Indianapolis, Indiana that decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia back in 2016 to pursue my dreams of a career in the beauty industry. Shortly after moving to Georgia, I obtained my Certification as a Lash Technician and began to build my clientele.

In 2018, I decided to take my career a little further by enrolling at the Elaine Sterling Institute to obtain my esthetician license. After obtaining my license as an esthetician, I launched a website offering various products and services such as skin consultations, lash services, and cruelty-free mink lash strips. The website also offers 100% handmade all-natural vegan ingredient lip oils and glosses in which are domestically manufactured in the U.S.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would like to start off by saying an entrepreneur wears MANY hats, and without faith and prayer none of this would’ve been possible. In the beginning it was a bit of a struggle working a full-time job, attending school part-time and perfecting my craft as a certified lash technician and operating a business. I had to discipline myself when it came to time management, organization, and staying consistent in order to financially build Mohini Tribe Beauty and advance in my professional business techniques in the corporate world. With a lot on my plate, I had to learn to balance my work life and personal life to manage self-care which is VERY important.

Another challenge I faced was marketing, which is one of the most important pieces in becoming an entrepreneur. I have a bubbly, magnetic personality but I can be shy as-well, so opening up to random people and simply handing them my business cards was challenging at first, only because it was new to me. Social media was a little easier to get accustomed to because its web-based. Starting my own business was scary at first, but I took what I’ve learned and manifested it into something great!

Like Nip said, “I say it’s worth it, I won’t say it’s fair. Find your purpose or you wasting air.”

Mohini Tribe Beauty – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Mohini Tribe Beauty specializes in skincare, lash extensions. Most known for lash extensions, I recently just started selling mink strips and handmade lip oil and lip glosses that have been getting great reviews so far. I am proud to say that Mohini is a natural, cruelty-free beauty company that has grown organically over the years and will continue to grow with more products on the way. What separates Mohini Tribe Beauty from others is that it’s not all about the money with Mohini, it’s a passion. I genuinely care for all my consumers and I’m honest, so it’s important for me to sell great quality services/products and to gain their trust because I truly value my tribe’s opinions.
