Meet Ayanah Hanaya of East Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ayanah Hanaya.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ayanah. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was a “shop baby”. I literally grew up in the hair industry. I knew I wanted to do more than hair, I wanted to be a full circle business woman and also help empower and inspire other women. In addition to hair, I also do makeup. I also do makeup for a Beauty Agency based in California called beGLAMMED and I also own an online boutique, called IVIXXII (ONE SIX TWENTY TWO), and I am constantly uploading videos on FB/YouTube and sending out my Biweekly “Beauty Letters” to my following!

I love what I do. I love making women feel and look beautiful and hopefully, my children will take over once I’m gone.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
NO!

I quit my steady-paying day job to follow my dreams. I went back to school and started from scratch. I have been broke, stressed, and felt like I was crazy; It has been HARD!! But so worth it.

Please tell us about Ayanah Hanaya.
I own a Beauty Loft and an online store.

What sets me apart is that I am literally the full package. I do hair and makeup, and I genuinely care about the women I service. I have a special connection with each of them and I always want them leaving with the feeling that they can’t wait to come back. Not to get a service, but to enjoy themselves and feel like Queens.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory would have to be my middle school field trip to NY. It made me realize at a young age that there is so much opportunity in the world if you just have the courage to leave what you know, and believe in yourself.
