Today we’d like to introduce you to Bianca T Adams.
Bianca, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started B.T. Elite Consulting Group in 2010. I started the company because I could not get a job. I am 05′ University of Georgia graduate and I was applying everywhere and I could not get hired. I was a mortgage loan officer for a while but that ended in 2008 when I had two brain surgeries, a right brain stroke, and congestive heart failure. I was starting all over again at life and I was so motivated to be in corporate America, That never happened. In fact, I was fired from every job I had had since graduating from college. I was fired for miscellaneous reasons, nothing illegal but simply being too ambitious and that got me out the door. So entrepreneurship is my destiny. I remember being infatuated with entrepreneurship but I got distracted by the glitz and glamour of corporate American; so I thought.
In 2010, B.T. Elite was a website, graphic design company. Business was very slow. I could not pay my bills hardly. It wasn’t until 2013 that I was introduction to the healthcare revenue business. I did not go to school for it but I just caught on and I was interested. In 2014, a female business owner who owns the same type of business today took me under her wings and taught me everything I know. I soaked up everything she said. I would come to her office on Saturdays or days I could come during the week and work for her for free because I knew I learned better by doing. Initially she was going to charge me for teaching me, however, I told her I was broke and she saw I was willing to work to for free to learn from her. In fact, in July of 2014 I got my first client and in August 2014 she referred my first big client to me. I have been with them for four years and counting. I was doing a good job for the client and clients started rolling in via word of mouth. I rarely have to do marketing because of healthcare providers utilize who their colleges utilize.
Today, B.T. Elite is in Louisiana, Texas, North Carolina, and New York. In 2014, I could not even fathom that I would be nationwide. I even have a team/contractors on board that help me. I started all by myself and now B.T. Elite provides healthcare revenue education, services, job opportunities, and intern opportunities. In August 2018 B, T. Elite partnered with a local college for students to get their externship hours.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has definitely not been a smooth road. I have been faced with challenges of learning new guidelines/ regulations in the healthcare business industry. I had to learn to handle different professional personalities, overcome their organization/timeliness problems. I always have to stay on top of Continuing Education.
There is a constant learning curve I always have to stay in front of. I even had to learn how to utilize different software and technology to keep the business efficient and organized.
Obtaining a tech-savvy team, and learning to stay organize has been what has kept my head above water. I finally learn to keep my head above water in Fall of 2018. Before that I felt like I was constantly fighting to stay level in business; meaning I was being efficient with all accounts in all states, learning to efficiently deal with different personalities, efficiently satisfying accounts wants/needs, etc. And I had to learn to be a BUSINESS OWNER instead of SELF EMPLOYED. B.T. Elite Consulting Group has giving me the opportunity to run a full-fledged business. I had to learn to trust, teach, create systems and delegate tasks to others. This was the only way the business would thrive and take stress off of me. That was a huge hurdle to cross.
All of this made me a BETTER BUSINESS OWNER.
Please tell us about B.T. Elite Consulting Group.
B.T. Elite Consulting Group is a healthcare revenue company that services healthcare professionals in billing, credentialing, denial management, practice management and help those business owners who are starting a medical practice or have an established practice. We are currently in (5) states and look to grow even more states.
I am most proud of the positive word of mouth marketing we receive. I am proud that my team is tech savvy and can utilize different software and technology to make our client’s life better.

All of our clients will testify that our staff is courteous and we are timely with answering phone calls, emails, and our staff is very helpful. B.T. Elite does not claim to know it all however, we have the resources to consult to get most answers to the questions and challenges we are asked. B.T. Elite Consulting Group has been a vendor in the Medicare Expo and other notable expos. We attend webinars and create professional relationships with personnel within each company our clients use.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is attending Morris Brown Upward Bound (1997-2001). This was an educational program for high school students that prepared you for college. I would attend Saturday sessions at Morris Brown College. This gave me the exposure to college life. Also, we would take many trips across the nation. One, in particular, was Los Angelos, CA. I visited UCLA and USC at Berkeley. I made life long friendships that I still have today. That program mold my mind into seeing the world bigger and open my mind up to the things I can accomplished. We did so much in that program. I will always cherish it.
