Fresh pressed started as a hobby. A couple of years ago, I started juicing for myself and my family. Along the way, I posted my juice combos and grocery finds on social media. I knew that I could offer dimension to the health and wellness landscape, but did not know how I wanted to approach that. I spent a year doing AmeriCorps as a health and frugal cooking instructor and loved it. In the back of my mind, I longed to find out how I could make this my main hustle. Fast-forward a couple of months. I purchased the LLC for Fresh Pressed, got a logo made and started working on apparel designs for the brand without announcing anything to the public. One day, a friend told me she wanted to order some juice from me, and the rest is history.
Has it been a smooth road?
This has not been a smooth road! There have been many twists and turns. Between lack of start-up capital to trademarking issues and now COVID-19, but we are still here. We are learning to pivot and making boss friends along the way. All the while, supporting our customers’ health journeys.

Fresh Pressed is a mobile juice bar that is focused on supporting the health and wellness journey of our customers. We focus on powerful produce combinations that are not only good for you but taste good! We want to be known for our compassion first. We provide not only products, but also educational resources to help our community live a healthier life. I am most proud of our commitment to the community. We want to make healthy and delicious options available to people from all walks of life, regardless of socioeconomic status. We have a business model that incorporates giving back from the ground up.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think that Atlanta is a great place to start this kind of business. There are so many supportive people here! I have met people in different industries that have offered to help to improve the back end of my business operations. I have met people that have been willing to give my products a try and others who have been ready to spread the word about what we have to offer. I honestly don’t know if I would have started this business had I lived anywhere else. You can get inspiration from all of the like-minded individuals all around you here.
