Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Brown.
Hi Brandon, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I got my start with music in general in the 6th-grade band. By the time I had graduated from high school, I noticed how dull life is without music. Me and my friends found a small piece of success in high school with our first mixtape. Since then, it was music all the time. During this time is where I found my love for being in the studio. After a failed relationship with high my school sweetheart, I never left; I spent the majority of my 20s recording and making mixtapes. Doing work with major influences like CGRN Kennyman, Show, Dj Tripp Da Hitmajor, Dj Deceptacon, S2BR Khrome, Nsm Fyre, Koly P, etc…
I’m taking a year off to organize a few things.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
OMG! This is still currently the most difficult thing I have encountered. The act of balancing real life and Rap life it gets crazy. If it’s not your personal life falling apart from the amount of time dedicated to the craft. It’s definitely studio issues driving you crazy.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m proud of everything. The wins, the losses every aspect of the career. I’m known to be a studio hermit. Doing very long sessions and having great records come out of them.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Patience.
