Meet Brandon Suggs, Dannica Smith and Sherica Tate of Live Life Half Price in Decatur

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Suggs, Dannica Smith and Sherica Tate.

Brandon, Dannica, Sherica, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always the person to value they almighty dollar. One day while on a flight to Vegas a seated next a complete. we started comparing prices. I was going to Vegas for way less that she was. She was taken by surprise by the amount that I was saving and told me that I had a gift to share with the world. That day the seed was planted. I wanted to find a way to share with the world how I was able to Live to the Fullest while spending the minimum. Being that I had no previous knowledge on owning a business, the idea scared me. I feared the obstacles that were ahead of me.
I shared my ideas with close friends and family, they encouraged to go for it. and “Live Life Half Price” (LLHP) was born.

As LLHP started created the identity we were able to form the current team that we have now. A group of young, talented people that supported the vision. We were able to come together to come up the mission core values of what LLHP stands for.

We wanted to be able to assist our community with resources to Live Life Outside the box without living outside their means.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not always been a smooth road. Starting a business that is unique can sometimes be a difficult task especially when you don’t have a big following. At times it’s hard to get people to buy into an idea that they are not used to.

Shortly after gaining momentum we lost a valuable partner, Brandon Hill. This took us by surprise, and we had to find a way to not only deal with the grief but continue to build LLHP. Then founding member of our company, decided to part ways, to pursue other endeavors, which brought our team of four to two.

We are a business that likes to work with other businesses. We have had to learn some valuable lessons in relationship building and how to manage the business.

Live Life Half Price – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are blog site that specializes in providing deals and freebies that is local to our area. As we grow, we would like to get into vlogs and bigger platforms. As we have been working and building our following, we started to move towards helping out in the community.

We specialize in providing deals and discounts to local attractions and restaurants. We host affordable trips to major events such as Mardi Gras, Essence Festival, and Savannah’s St Patrick’s celebration, in which some of the proceeds go towards our community outreach.

We are also a pillar in the community. We host monthly community events, such as feeding the homeless, book bags for kids, food & toy drives. We also host families for holidays.

We have grown from a website/ Facebook page providing just deals & discounts to being able to give back to our community.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is defined as being in the position to help others in various areas in which we have knowledge. We use the feedback from out followers & supporters to indicate areas that we are good and areas in which we can approve.
