Thanks for sharing your story with us Bri. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I had a plan. Everything was etched in my mind. I had a clear vision and had started to execute it. And it was all good. Until life happened and my plan fell all the way apart. At rock bottom, I thought I was done, but the reality was that I was just beginning. A broken engagement. Losing a house, leaving my job. Finances on E. The passing of my grandmother… all within the time span of a few months.
The tailspin of back-to-back losses was actually a catalyst for my purpose to be awakened. I rediscovered my gifts, my passions and how I’d evolved as a woman. I started writing again for leisure, for healing and for clarity. I wrote out my prayers, business ideas, notes on things I was interested in, and my plans. The more I wrote, the more clear things became. I also started using my spare time to help my friends live life to their creative ideas and projects. In these moments, I felt alive; and I realized that creativity is an essential part of ALL things.
The cliche goes: when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
My spin: when life serves you less-than-desirable, you learn to level up, rise to the occasion and create beauty + purpose from your challenges.
My life is an ever-evolving journey that always produces lessons, blessings and beauty. My undoing was my catalyst and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Entrepreneurship chose me, and I embraced it. I’m inspired by the beauty of this journey, not fitting into boxes and the fresh ideas and stories that surface every single day.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Has the journey been smooth? Nah! Has the journey been worth it? 100%! I’m big on authenticity and honesty. So with that being said, there have been several struggles to overcome since I began in 2011. From partnerships and collaborations that flopped and never saw the light of day, moving through the trials and error of balancing motherhood with entrepreneurship to finding ways to operate the business with limited resources, I’ve had to rise to the occasion of so many unexpected challenges.
The beauty in it all is that the struggles produced opportunity. The challenges called for me to rise to the occasion, remain resilient, shift my perspective around things not going as anticipated and clarify my want, needs and non-negotiables personally and professionally!
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I’m a creative consultant, self-development mastermind, writer and speaker. My special sauce is teaching the millennial dream-chasing woman how to Level Up in life, relationships, creativity and business. I’m most known for my online content, inspirational messages and my signature straightforward-but-loving style of communication. Since I could form words, I’ve used them to connect and cultivate genuine and impactful connections and strategies for life and business.
I’m most proud of the sustainable success my clients have achieved through implementing the strategies we map out while working together. Positive results are gold to me, and I’m forever humbled by the people who reach out to share how they’ve been inspired by the simple act of me choosing to live the most authentic and genuine life possible.
My ability to connect creativity, strategy and a tangible action-oriented plan while supporting people in getting from vision to manifest is what sets me apart. I’ve always been eclectic and innovative and I use the unique way I think and see the world to help open up possibilities for others. Whether the goal is to launch a lifestyle brand, bring a passion project to life, or commit to discovering practical ways to add self-awareness/care into a daily routine, I’m the go-to girl!
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
By nature, I’m a planner. I come alive during the process of tapping into a vision for the future and using the vision to fuel the plan to reach the destination. The two biggest things I’m looking forward to is transitioning into full-time entrepreneurship and continuing to create a lifestyle that will inspire my daughter to life at her fullest capacity!
I’ll be releasing a series of tools to inspire visionaries to activate their purpose, turn their losses into blessings by flipping their perspective and learning how to be more productive in their day-to-day. I’m extremely excited to share the new resources with everyone in the near future!
Life, as we all know it, has shifted and there’s no such thing as “going back to normal.” I’m developing resources to support my people in being prosperous and productive despite the new wave of challenges that have made their way into the world.
