Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Jenkins.
Hi Brianna, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Well, it’s been a journey that started in my hometown (Warner Robins, GA). I have always been one to support and communicate with those around me. I made friends easily and I hung out a whole lot as a teen! I naturally knew how to get a group together for a good cause whether it was a Movie Night at the house or inviting every young person that I knew to the Youth Lock-ins at my church. I’ve always been down for a good time. In college, I became a bit more polished in relationship building as I was very involved on the campus of Clayton State University (Morrow, GA). During my time there, I hosted my own internet radio show where I had guests visit to chat about topics centered around their strong suits and interests. This was another level of genuine support! I tapped more into this public relations bug while working as a Student Assistant in the Office of Alumni & Annual Giving Programs. I was able to see another side of fundraising, gaining and retaining sponsors/donors, marketing, and advertising. It was super interesting to me. I knew I had a future in this or something similar.
Soon after, I earned my B.A. in Communication and Media Studies (’17) and then on to receive a M.A. in Strategic Communication (’19) from Troy University (Troy, AL). While working on my Graduate Degree I was very intentional with the organizations that I joined and the role that I played in each. I joined the same committee in every org. in order to exercise what I knew regarding marketing and to surround myself with other like-minded individuals. It worked out for me as I launched In Tune Promo, LLC. in late 2020. Since I have assisted several entrepreneurs, churches, and non-profit organizations plan virtual and in person events as well as advertise and brand themselves via social media. It’s been a piece of work, but I believe wholeheartedly that there is more to come! I just have to Stay In Tune!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My latest challenge has been trusting myself. I am always blown away when people speak to me about assisting them. I know what I am capable of and what I have learned but it is always a shock to know who believes in me and trusts me with their vision. I do not take it lightly.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
In Tune Promo, LLC has a mission to support and uplift businesses and organizations through promotional and advertising tools. Our main focus and sole strategy is connection through relationship building and network/word-of-mouth marketing.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In terms of this work and the industry, I am looking forward to seeing more creatives in the next five to ten years. Everything is so accessible now. People are learning this craft and picking it up more than ever and I love to see it! Everyone has things to offer and there is room for everyone.
