Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney Scott.
Brittney, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am a regular girl from Atlanta. Homeschooled. Grew up in the church. But I always knew that I wanted MORE!
At the age of 19 I started a girl’s mentoring group with one of my mentors. It was at that juncture in my life that I wanted to be apart of changing the way woman have been accustomed to doing things.
After that project my mentor and I co founded Wear The Skirt.
A platform for teaching women how to grab the essence of being a woman and teaching them the beauty of wearing their SKIRT!
But at that moment I was experiencing life. Early 20’s, professional, new mother, newly engaged trying to figure it all out.
It was in that moment that I began to survey myself. I began to learn, not only about me but about life. And the more I attempted to disconnect I was always pointed back into the direction of wanting more!
From that, the B Nicole brand was birthed. I wanted to give women something sassy yet authentic, something cool but real!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
OMG! It has been the hardest road ever!
The self-doubt.
The thought of failure.
The starting and not finishing.
The feeling of, “maybe I am crazy” has been unmatched but… I made a pact with myself, I said I’d rather try and fail than to never try at all.
I’d rather take a chance on ME than to take a chance on someone else.
B Nicole – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
To date, I’m in the business of inspiration. My ultimate goal is to inspire not only women but men as well to live life on purpose and full of purpose.
I have a podcast that I recently released on sound cloud and I plan to release my first book Fall 2019.
I want us as people to live our BEST lives today! Not tomorrow, but today!
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Launching my podcast.
This was huge for me because I like for everything to be on point. So starting on this platform was my way of working backwards and letting everything fall into place.
