Today we’d like to introduce you to Caleb Jermale.
Caleb, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Going into my freshman year of high school, I had laser eye focus into growing a career playing football and making it to college on a football scholarship. My high school, Drew Charter School, ended up not having a football team, so my chances of playing which were already slim, skimmed down to a minimum. I always had an interest in film and photography since I did skit videos with my three siblings since I was in 7th grade. I took a photography class the summer after my freshman year and truly fell in love with the art and later received my first camera. Over the years, I continued perfecting my craft and have been able to shoot for cool people and artist such as Lilgotit and lil keed and @MYSHITDIESEL, a well-known music video director in the Atlanta area . I’ve also been able to shoot for another well-known film director, Marko Steez and artist like Future, Guap Tarantino, Lil Durk. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with other social media influencers such as @_4en, @alexishogann, @0fficialseth and many more!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. After being gifted my first camera, I worked up and was able to buy my own Canon t5i. I cherished it and began really creating the content I wanted to such as A short documentary about what LOVE meant to me. My freshman year of college, I was at the beach when all my camera gear and devices were stolen from me and I had nothing. It didn’t stop me as I began creating and vlogging with my iPhone until I was able to afford to get my camera back which I did and ended up upgrading to an even better camera!

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success as progress. I believe as long as you’re progressing upward and working toward your ultimate goal, it’s all success; the ups and downs of reaching your goal is all apart of success. The learning process in the road to success is what I cherish most.
