So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m Candace Holyfield retired massage therapist. I currently own Six Figure Spa Chick a marketing firm for spa/beauty professionals. I moved to Atlanta 3 years ago with no clients. I would be on Instagram all day scrolling at everyone else living it up. I quickly knew I had to do something to make money. I created a six-figure spa chick on Instagram in October 2015. It started off slow but quickly grew to a six-figure brand.
I was teaching other spa professionals how I successfully made money with Groupon in Memphis and to my surprise thousands of people were interested. My ego got in the way of my success. Even though Groupon was so great to build my clientele in Memphis I did not want to do it in Atlanta. I thought I would be moving backwards to go back to advertising on Groupon. The company charges 50% to advertise on top of an already 50% discount. If you look at Groupon from a financial standpoint it makes no sense but I looked at it from a marketing standpoint. If you have zero profits you have nothing to lose by advertising on Groupon.
After being broke for months I finally gave in and did my first deal in Atlanta. It was the best thing I could have done for my business. I built a full clientele within 90 days. I was never BROKE again. I created over 30 e-books to educate on successfully operating a spa.
To date, I have sold thousands of e-books across the world. Spa professionals call me daily needing help to build clientele. If someone from Groupon sees this article please add me to payroll. I have referred hundreds of struggling therapist to work with the company. Many of us no longer use Groupon once our clientele is built. I eat, live, and breathe marketing for spa professionals. I discovered so many other marketing strategies that I share with my clients.
Has it been a smooth road?
Building a new brand on social media takes time. It’s more than just posting pictures. You must solve a problem. Once your brand is established you will make money every day. Stay consistent with your brand visibility.
