Meet Charles Brown of Brown’s Realty Enterprise

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charles Brown.

Charles, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today
Hey, my name is Charles Brown. I’m 24 years old and originally from Riverdale, GA. Growing up in Atlanta with a mother from Uruguay and a grandmother from Brazil, there was never a dull moment. Between dropping out of college and dealing with familial struggles— I, luckily, found my passion in sales. However, that’s not the route I’ve always worked towards. Initially, my heart directed me to nursing. All I knew was that I wanted to help people. But as time passed, I realized that, though nursing is a great profession, it wasn’t how I wanted to help. There’s so many paths to helping. Making sure people receive the best quality deal is something that I thoroughly enjoy— on and off the clock. I got to where I am today through networking, long hours, and persistence. Though I have a long way to go I’m starting to see the influence I have on the people around me. It’s awesome!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome? Not the typical path for being in your early 20’s.
Its been tough. Sometimes, I feel like I wasted time in college. I was working to accomplish things that would sound cool to brag about to friends and tell family at the Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas parties but behind the scenes I was struggling— in debt and depressed. Though I maintained a 3.4/3.5 GPA, I was not happy and had no drive to do more than the bare minimum. Within the past 5 years, I’ve had to take on responsibilities that I wasn’t necessarily super prepared for. It’s probably been the hardest season to overcome. Essentially someone in their early 20s should be focused on the small things like what they plan on doing in their careers, hobbies and so on. But for me, there have been multiple deaths and very sick loved ones in my family and that’s all I could truly focus on. I took the hardest hit when my uncle passed.. he was my best friend. After his passing it forced me to move in with my grandparents and help take care of them Like he used to do. Out of no where came this huge responsibility and though it wasn’t mandatory, I felt like it was the right thing to do. I endured financial strain; I didn’t have enough money to take care of myself. I was behind on my bills after supporting everyone around me. People would ask me for money and I gave it. I’d have only have $50-$150 bucks to my name at times and would lend out $100(actually happened). I wore the same shoes to work for months which I still have a picture saved in my phone just to remind me how being in that space was. It got to that point where I had to figure out a way to regain financial stability. I had no one to turn to and that’s what lead me to sales. With no cap on your salary and endless opportunities, I knew that if I just put in the work then everything would fall into place. With no sales experience, I just stayed relentless and knew that somehow, someway God would allow me to come out on the top. Looking back from where I’m at now I just can’t believe it. Daily progress is my main priority and the ceiling is endless. I can never thank my first real manager Derrick Mason for giving my a chance and my brother Romano White for getting me the interview.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I currently work a hybrid role at Nalley Infiniti of Atlanta with marketing campaign sales and managing inventory. I go out to the local auctions and contact private sellers to purchase vehicles for our inventory to keep up with stock demands and once part of our inventory sell them. Also, when I’m not at Nalley, I work as an independent part-time real estate investor. I’ve created my own LLC and plan on expanding my business in real estate. In the near future, I want to create a community with affordable housing plans available to everyone. I’m working on creating a primary business model with smaller businesses under the same umbrella.

In regards to my position at Infiniti, I specialize in assisting my clients by creating the most ideal combination of what they want in a vehicle and how much they want to pay for it. I always have my client’s best interest at heart. I have an extensive list of clientele ranging from CEOs, entertainers, athletes, parents buying their child their first car, and those looking for a bargain to just get them from point A to B. Whatever vehicle my client is looking for, I can find it for the buyer. From a first car, such as a Kia, Nissan or Honda to any high end vehicle— Range Rover, Rolls Royce, etc. I pay $150 for referrals, I also pay huge finders fees on my high-end inventory. For example, I currently have a Rolls Royce for sale on my Facebook page that I’m paying $2000 to anyone that can find someone that wants to buy this car from me. There are so many opportunities to make money when doing business with me.

In regards to real estate, I’m just an investor at the moment. I never liked the idea of showing multiple houses all over town to people, so I just buy houses and flip them, or hold on to them for my rental portfolio. It all depends on what exit strategy I plan on

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment was when I obtained my first six figure income. It’s not all about the money but about the freedom that comes with it. It made me realize that the ceiling is much much higher and obtainable than what society deems it to be. Through all of the unfortunate events that led me to this point, I learned that all it takes is a little self-motivation, discipline and perseverance to reach your goals. My friends and some of my family think I work way too much but I told myself that I would never go back to how things were for me. That’s what keeps me going and that’s what I’ll never go back to.
