Today we’d like to introduce you to Chase Irwin.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Chase. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
From a young age, I’ve always been very passionate about music because it’s always been an outlet I can look towards when I needed an escape from reality. Due to this, as I grew older, I slowly came to realize that the music industry was the place I belong. The grim reality of the situation was that I had no introduction to the logistics of creating music, but that quickly changed when I met an artist by the name Lil Coffin. He showed me that if you truly put all your effort and made music that is true to yourself, you can still successfully create music that speaks to people. My problem with today’s music industry is how business-oriented it truly is and, in turn, creatively limits artists from creating the music they want to make. Once I realized this, I wanted to manage artists that care about their craft and give them the opportunity to create music that is both true to themselves while maintaining a successful music career. My goal is to show artists they are in full control of their music and I’m there to support them by any means necessary.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As I’m early in my career, I’ve run into very few issues regarding overcoming challenges thus far. One of the very few challenges we’ve faced is networking and contacting other artists that we would enjoy working with.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
I specialize in managing talented artists with the best intentions regarding their music and career. Some of the things I strive for in my artists is for them to have full creative capacity, which a lot of name brand record labels don’t offer. I want the artists I manage to be happy with themselves and the music they are creating for the best possible outcome. I take the utmost pride in the quality of music my artists are distributing because you can’t put a price on genuine talent. Many would argue music is best when it’s relatable and I encourage my artists to be as personable as possible to ensure the fans that whatever they’re going through, they’re not alone.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
To start off, I wouldn’t be anywhere if it wasn’t for my parent’s support and encouragement along my path. I also wouldn’t be nearly as far in my career if it wasn’t for Lil Coffin because he demonstrated to me what genuine artists are like behind closed doors. We’ve built a very close bond by putting our trust in each other and helping one another along the way. Lastly, my close friends have played a key role in who I am today because they showed me what it’s like to care for others and be true to myself.
