Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Atkinson.
Chelsea, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am an aspiring model. I’ve always had the passion of growing up as a kid but slept on myself. In 8th grade, I partnering with a Christian modeling agency but declined to do to financial circumstances at the time. I recently decided I’m going to go for my dream once again and I won’t stop until I feel I’ve accomplished my goals.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all smooth but the things you want most in life won’t be easy to come by. I’ve dealt with the thoughts that I won’t go far due to height requirements. I’ve been very discouraged at times.
What do you do? What do you specialize in?
I am a walking business. I would love to change the perspective of models in the industry one photo at a time. I am proud of myself because no matter what I’m still pushing. What sets me apart from others is I want to show my personality and prove a point more so than just having my pictures taken.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Confidence definitely. People are going to try their hardest to tear you down but you have used that and charge it to the game.
