Today we’d like to introduce you to David Park.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m the owner of Covenant Audio ATL. We provide professional sound system rental, audio engineering/operation, and wedding DJ services. You may find me at many local gatherings where the majority group is Korean-American due to my personal network and have become a go-to “sound guy” / “DJ”. Through God’s grace, I’ve been a part of many amazing events, concerts, weddings, church services, and moreover the past decade.
From what I’ve seen, there really isn’t anyone else like us out there within my circles. We provide high-quality audio engineering and an extensive inventory of speaker/audio equipment at rates lower than anyone other sound company on the market. My point isn’t to say we’re awesome, but that we fortunately became a trusted and valued partner after serving many friends and organizations who put community first with limited budgets and we all grew from there.
Now most of my weekends are booked with weddings, concerts, and events, something no one would have imagined years ago if they knew me before college. My experience with music started in the church, as I tried to pick up the electric guitar as a young and eager middle school student. Since then, I became extremely involved with church praise bands which led to deeper involvement with the sound systems and tweaking them. Afterwards, my interests began to shift where I was often most needed: the sound system and mixing.
Since then, the rest is history as I began to personally accumulate speakers, mixers, microphones, and more. Simultaneously, I started a company called Covenant Cables which was an online custom audio cable shop for musicians across the country. As a direct affiliation of Covenant Cables came out Covenant Audio which is now my professional service name for the many events and concerts I provided speaker rental, DJ, and engineering services for.
With that said, I’m married to a wonderful woman and have a baby daughter (Noel) on the way. There’s a bright future ahead and I hope we continue to make Atlanta sound good.
Has it been a smooth road?
There were some along the way, but I don’t think it’s necessary to disclose the details. The hardest part of our job is what made us the most valuable. We came the earliest and we would leave the latest. Most events are sweaty, hungry, and tiring while there is little to no acknowledge or thanks. But we were proud of our service and knew that it was exactly that: service.

Covenant Audio provides sound rental, DJ, and engineering services for any event imaginable. With years of events under our belt, we’re ready for whatever last minute changes, strange room layouts, and impossible requests that come with weddings, concerts, church retreats, and more.
And if it’s not our equipment and experience that makes us difference, it’ll most certainly be our effort. We’re the first ones to arrives and the last ones out. We bring more equipment than you could imagine. What would normally take a team of 5 crew members to do in 10 hours, we take care of it in half the time with quick thinking and maximum hustle.

After years of speaker rental service, David decided to DJ his first wedding back in August 2018. Since then, he’s been booked almost every weekend solely by referrals and word of mouth. The secret sauce to Covenant Audio’s success, Sam has been with David for the last decade working on sound systems and set-up. What normally would take a crew to set up in a few hours, Sam helps David put together complicated and elaborate speaker setups in half the time.

Atlanta is amazing due to its diversity and accessibility. No one is too different and no place is too far to support a friend. There is no majority culture and it’s constantly a back and forth between the many styles, creatives, demographics, and cultures here in Atlanta.
