Today we’d like to introduce you to Deandre Jones.
Deandre, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I actually started on my photography journey back in 2014, I purchased a camera to capture memories of my newborn daughter and I really enjoyed it. I started with a Pentax K-50, which is a beginner’s camera. I was told that I should really pursue this career path and see where it leads me. I followed that advice and never looked back since.
Has it been a smooth road?
I can not lie and say that it was smooth at all, lol. One of the most difficult times for me would actually be the learning experience. I use a camera that is not that popular in my area, so I really did not have that much support as far as learning my settings and features. YouTube was and still is my best friend. However, I did met a great guy by the name of Bill Adams. He also used a Pentax and was willing to provide pointers whenever I reached out to him and for that, I am very grateful. I am always open to sharing what I’ve learned and experienced. We can all be successful in this industry.

I am a lifestyle photographer. I love creative ideas and concepts. I specialize in making my client’s vision become a reality. What sets me apart from others would be my personality and outgoing attitude at my shoots. I like to make my clients feel comfortable and relaxed, that’s when you will receive the best pictures honestly.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
My main goal for the next 5-10 years is to become a professional traveling photographer. I want to travel the world and capture some awesome moments while doing so. I want to live life without a nine to five.
