Meet Deanna Maslamani of The Green Tree Day Spa in Douglasville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deanna Maslamani.

Deanna, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have been with The Green Tree Day Spa for a little over three years. The spa has been in operation since 1999 and has a great role in the community.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The path has been interesting. We have a really wonderful team at The Green Tree. Many of the providers have been with the spa for five – ten years. They are dedicated and extremely talented. That has made my job a lot easier. When I first started at The Green Tree, the spa was still reeling from a lot of changes that took place in the spa industry post recession. There were nearly no products on the shelves, back bar was sparse, and rent was being raised. Our goal was to make sure everything was as high end as possible to achieve the most effective results for our clients. It took a lot of upfront cost. However, it is such a special space and has been a fixture in the community for so long, we knew it would work. We wanted The Green Tree to be an oasis from the chaos. Through several changes, big and small, we have come to really great place.

Please tell us about The Green Tree Day Spa.
The Green Tree Day Spa is a wellness and skincare clinic dedicated to providing effective treatments, great customer service, and a relaxing environment. We do not bring any service into the spa without testing the efficacy and experience of the treatment first. If a guest arrives with a skin concern, our goal is to not only treat the concern but to educate our guests on the best way to continue results at home. Our talented service providers and spa coordinators make a lasting impression with every client. They truly love what they do and strive to provide the best possible results. We encourage our guests to treat The Green Tree Day Spa as an oasis from the chaos. Soothing music, spa water, comfortable robes, and customized treatments create a serene atmosphere.

Our services include several types of massage – deep tissue, sports therapy, Swedish, and prenatal options. Facial offerings include microdermabrasion, collagen induction therapy (micro-needling), derma blading, photo facials, peels, and our signature Green Tree facial. We also have waxing, lash extensions, spray tanning, laser hair removal, slimming body wraps, body scrubs, and the ionic foot detox.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would have done more events! I was very shy, so I let that get in the way of meeting some of our great community members in the beginning. Since then, we have made so many new friends and have worked with so many great charities through events and networking.
