CEI Hair Schools evolved from Cutting Edge Barber and Beauty Institute which first began educating students in April of 2009. Cutting Edge opened its doors in Snellville, Georgia with 40 students. 8 years later CEI is still Committed to educating and licensing a generation of competent industry professions at affordable rates. We pride ourselves on graduating each student 100% debt free. Today CEI Hair School is located in the heart of Downtown Atlanta in a 10,000-sq. ft. facility. To date, CEI has responsible for over 300 license graduates, 45 salon and barbershop owners, and 4 institutes. As a result of these accomplishments, CEI will soon have thriving locations in Alabama and South Carolina.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

Please tell us about CEI Hair Schools.
What sets CEI apart from other beauty schools is that we have a 100% passing rate for all of our students that take their state board exams. We also provide some of the industry’s best hands on experience to our students. This experience includes, but is not limited to, industry leading professionals teaching hands on classes as well as trips to international hair shows. We also offer opportunities for our students to take their talents to the big screen. We have had students featured in motions pictures such as The Fast and the Furious and Spiderman, not to mention the new hit TV series Star on Fox.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
As a child one of my favorite things to do was to imagine what I would or could become when I grew up. I have become everything I imagined and more. However, I still have many more dreams to fulfill via my platforms. I constantly strive to make a difference in the lives of others every day. It is a blessing to bless others; I’ve always been that way. Now, I can make an even greater impact. My school has the power to position our students in the direction of greatness. CEI helps our students achieve their childhood dreams of becoming hairstylist, barbers, nail techs, and more.
