Deidre, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I been raised in church all my life, I grew up in ministry as a prophet. However, the marketplace have been calling me in such away. I started out selling jewelry sets and pieces here and there in 2012 when I just moved to Stone Mountain, GA. I gained momentum and I was booming. I was selling jewelry at my home church, I had all the ladies looking Oh So Lovely! A year later everyone started selling jewelry. I got bored and I realized I had to do something different. I realized that I have this crazy love about shiny, glitter, and rhinestones. I started out in 2015, blinging out phone cases, my phone was so boring and ugly. I just began to stick things on it. One day a lady seen my phone case and put in a large order and I had my first customer right then and there! Super excited, I was nickname “Stylish Dee” for all my trendy fashion, jewelry and now phone cases.
2017, I had a suffer trauma, tragedy, and rejection that sent me into a place of depression and anxiety. My business began to suffer and I just couldn’t get myself together. I began to go into a place of intercession and I began to heal. Now, I am back 2019 I reinvented myself and business, Let me re-introduce to some and introduce to others Deidre Baker and My Hand Candy LLC.
Has it been a smooth road?
No, there is nothing smooth about business. I quickly learned that some people do not value you or your business, asking for discounts, cheaper products, asking for favors. I began to realize that I needed to get into an area where my craft is valued. I also learned that I did not know how to budget a business financially. So I learn quickly about running a business.

My Hand Candy is a business that turns any ordinary thing into glitz and glam! I literally take a plain object and create something so beautiful with jelly stones, rhinestones, crystals, pearls. I specialize in phone cases, shoe bling, cup bling and so much more.
I am known for being an Intercessor, Flag Dance, Prophet and being Stylish Dee.
I am proud of My Hand Candy because you get beautiful items all handcrafted by me, I can create any vision you have in your mind and manifest it to the natural realm.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes! Atlanta is the best city for my business. They need My Hand Candy to go with them throughout their day. Celebrities need some prophetic bling in their life. Business owners need my glam for their business.
My recommendation for anyone starting out in business is do your research and do not stop no matter what happens in your life do not let your business fall.
