Meet Denise Grant of Hactac Events by Denise A Grant LLC in New Jersey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Denise Grant.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am 36 y/o and a single mother of a very handsome 9 y/o boy. I used to always do things creative (candles, gift baskets, etc.) but about my son’s first birthday is when I found the love of decorating cakes. I was determined to make his first birthday cake. With already knowing how to bake, I went to the local Michaels arts & crafts to learn how to do the decorations. With him being a baby, still going to school online and still having a full-time job, I took on the extra task to make magic for my son’s first birthday but also found a love for the decorating of cakes that I did not know I had.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Entrepreneurship and business ownership is never easy but if its something you love, you will be passionate about it enough to make it work. The biggest struggle now is getting my clients and new target market to realize that I am no longer just a cake decorator but also an event planner. The growth and transition of a business takes time but it is not easy.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Hactac Events by Denise A Grant LLC – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Hactac Events is a full-service event planning company that specializes in custom cakes and treats as well. As a company, I am proud of the growth and the knowledge that we have gained to make sure we are able to give our clients everything they require to have the most amazing event experience ever. That is what sets us apart from the rest, we are the one-stop-shop, whatever the client needs, we try to provide it.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Atlanta is home for me, I travel a lot but coming to Atlanta is coming home because of all the great family and friends I have there. One thing I don’t always like is having to drive long distances but I guess that’s also a part of the beauty.
