Today we’d like to introduce you to Dezmon Walker.
Dezmon, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
At the end of my college football career, I was hired immediately as a Defensive Line coach at Sterling College a small school north of Wichita, Kansas. As a college coach during spring break, many of my fellow peers choose to go to beaches, cruises, or any place that involved lively or relaxing vacation. I choose a different route in using my time. I headed down to Atlanta to go speak with and learn from legendary Master Pass Rush Specialist Chuck Smith. The former Atlanta Falcon player who trains players such as Von Miller and Aaron Donald. Showing up unannounced was risky but that leap of faith got me an opportunity. I had a thirst to take my knowledge in Pass Rush to another level.
After thousands of hours training and studying Pass Rush I earned my CSTS certification to teach Pass Rush to all levels NFL, College, High School, and Youth .“The Samurai” or “Samurai Sack” as they call me. My Pass Rush Training nickname was given to me by the group of Defensive Lineman I’ve trained to prepare for the Reese’s Senior Bowl and NFL Combine. Players I’ve trained and worked with such as Derick Morgan, Bud Dupree, Cam Heyward, Grady Jarrett, Fadol Brown, Davin Bellamy, T.Y MGill, Genard Avery, etc. Putting in long hours of studying Pass Rush, training others and importantly the mentor of Chuck Smith got me where I am today. The learning of Pass Rush Training never stops so my story isn’t finished being written yet!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Originally I’m from Detroit, Michigan. Adjusting Atlanta was a challenge with a little amount of family being here. Imagine going to a city where literally no one knows you or even what you do. I had to build myself and network from scratch and adjust to the Atlanta culture. Southern hospitality is real! In Detroit your not saying hello or making conversation with random people too often. Building yourself in a non-native city causes you to change and adjust to gain business. God had this planned out for me and chose to put certain people in my life.
Learning about the high-schools, history of Atlanta, and the cities within different counties helps me minimize this challenge. I came to a city where I had 0 networking and connections. Through times of training others, the Pass Rush Family of Chuck Smith’s as well as help from clients has grown my network tremendously in the city of Atlanta. The speed and strength trainers of G.A.T.A. – Goldin Athletic Training Association has also help me build connections among players, parents, and coaches.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a Pass Rush Specialist. I train Defensive Lineman Pass Rush moves and techniques to help improve production. I’m in the business of helping Pass Rushers get sacks. The goal is 10 or more sacks a season. When NFL Pass Rushers gets more sacks they get paid! When college players get sacks they get an opportunity to get drafted into the NFL. When high schoolers get sack they can “dam near” choose what college they would like to play for. All coaches want a Pass Rusher. I am in the business of getting NFL players paid, getting college players into the NFL, and getting high schoolers into colleges. All of this is accomplished by Pass Rush training.
Chuck Smith Training Systems is by far the best Defensive Line Pass Rush company in America. Out of the total 32 NFL teams, this company is currently training players from 31/32 teams. Nearly one team shy of having players currently being trained on every team. This company is taking leaps and bounds with promoting, multiple training classes for high school Defensive Lineman, traveling training events, and more future camps to come. As a brand and company, we are just getting started!
I am Samurai Sack. The best young Pass Rush Trainer in America. I’ve worked with a Pro Bowler, College Stars, and a handful of high school players with multiple offers who will next in line. I can train all levels of Pass Rush as well as all different body types. I come from a V.G.H.H (Vision, Get Offs, Hands, Hips) a system that’s Legendary and proven. I am a teacher of the craft of Pass Rush. God blessed me being around great teachers such as DrRush Chuck Smith, Bob Winfield, Willy Anderson, and Boo Mitchelle. Their methods rubbed off on me and I have no choice but to be a future great one. I’m just a lump of coal under pressure which makes diamonds.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
No regrets what so ever! I truly believe moving down from Detroit to Atlanta was in God’s plan for me. Haven’t reached a point in my career where I would have regrets as well.

Coach Dez is such a great person and even a better trainer! He has helped me in every aspect when it comes to learning how to be a great pass rusher. I would not be nowhere near close as where I am today without him. If you want to become a great pass rusher I highly recommend giving Coach Dez a call!
