Today we’d like to introduce you to Dijionnaria Hann.
Dijionnaria, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve been a part of the entertainment industry for quite some time now. It was about five years ago when I decided that I wanted to be heavily a part of the media industry. Back in 2014, I applied for an internship with Streetz945ATL FM Radio Station located here in Atlanta, I got the internship and I’ve been learning, working and expanding my knowledge ever since. My goal has always been to become an on-air personality with my own advice column and it remains the same today. I’m just taking my time to learn every aspect of the business. When it comes to photography, I’ve always been the person to record and take pictures of my life as well as others before the media industry. When I finally made the decision to be serious and tackle the new venture head-on, everything came naturally. My photos mean a lot to me because I enjoy editing and creating a signature look that I know is very appealing to the eye. My work has been displayed on many platforms, which I am proud of and hope to continue to provide the best PARVENU IMAGES one could see.
Has it been a smooth road?
When you really want something in life, it’s never an easy journey. I’ve had my ups and my downs so far and it hasn’t always been a smooth journey but I’m okay with that. My mom has always told me that you have to go through trials and tribulations in order to get to something greater. At first, the struggles that I faced were not being able to afford equipment for my production business. After I worked and saved money to buy my own camera and computer, the struggle became not having a studio or workspace. As a result, I haven’t been able to find new clients or generate a constant flow of clientele and that’s all part of the journey to success so I am okay with that because nothing comes easy or without a struggle. I have my family and people in the industry as a support system so just to have them rooting for me gives me the motivation to continue to promote myself to generate leads, build clientele continue to build my brand and eventually with all my hard work it will pay off.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
My company is called Parvenu Pinch Productions. I am a self-taught photographer and videographer and I am known for capturing celebrity moments at concerts and social events. The meaning of Parvenu is “a person of obscure origin who has gained wealth, influence, or celebrity.” What sets me apart from others is that I approach each session with the thought of capturing and recording life by taking an image, freezing a moment in time to reveal how rich reality truly is.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes. Atlanta is most definitely a great place for a business like mines and I would definitely recommend someone starting out here. It may be competitive here in Atlanta, but that’s exactly what makes it great. We don’t have any major media outlets so being able to control your own course and show people that you are dedicated is what counts.
