As a young boy, by the age of six, Dj C Blendz knew he wanted to become a world-famous Dj. Growing up in Augusta, Georgia where his father, the late Carl “Sonny Soul” Burroughs, was a professional Dj, Radio Program Director, and Tv Host; Dj C Blendz succeeded at a very young age! Dj C Blendz was booked for his very first paid gig by the fresh age of seven. His parents then gifted him his own pair of American Dj turntables to start his journey!
Dj C Blendz career took a jumpstart during his teen years. In the early 2000s, he began entertaining small parties, such as Sweet 16s and local clubs. His career took a major leap. Dj C Blendz later became a mix show dj for numerous radio stations. By the year 2005, several radio stations inquired him, such as WFXA Foxie 103 (Jr Fox Rocks), The Wiz 97.9, and 91.9 The Buzz, taking over the southern region in his college-age years. Today, Dj C Blendz continues to dominate the airwaves as a mix show dj on nation-wide iHeart Media 96.7 The Beat Atl.
However, Dj C Blendz has yet to reach a career peak, especially with his ongoing inspirations. Dj C Blendz was inspired to tour with well-known recording artist like Musiq Soulchild, Sammie, and DaeDae, as well as others. As of 2017, Dj C Blendz became a member of HoodRich Ent. and began his quest in Atlanta, Georgia. Giving his biggest praises to God and his influencers, his Father, Dj Scream, Dj Spinz, J Soul, and so many more!
Super Dj C Blendz continues to stay encouraged to maintain career growth and to pursue major endeavors. Working with new artist and becoming a well-known worldwide entertainer is Dj C Blendz’s newest invitation to keep the “TABLES TURNING!”
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it’s hasn’t been a smooth road. Having a child at an early age was a level that grew me in my struggles. I’ve had my equipment stolen which was my biggest struggle! As well as the transition to Atlanta from Augusta, Ga.
Tell us about your business. What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
My business professionalizes in quality events from touring to private events and even sound engineering. I am a professional disc jockey. I’m great at mixing and blending songs. I’m known for using turntables and scratching. I’m most proud of being able to do radio. What sets me apart from other is that I read a crowd well! I make sure the vibe is smooth from a wedding to the club to a big stage.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career so far would be when I received my very first plaque.
