Donald, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My love for cooking started at a young age. Some of my earliest memories are of my grandmother getting up early on Sunday mornings to get dinner started. My mother noticed early that I showed an interest in cooking because she signed me up to be in a culinary completion through the local 4H club. I won the local as well as regional rounds and was invited to compete for the state championship for consecutive years. From that point on I’ve always been the go too cook for gathering with family and friends. Almost two years ago, I was asked to cater a small birthday party for a close friend. As part of her payment, she gifted me 500 business cards. That was the spark I needed to get the ball rolling. That one event set the ball in motion, it was then through word of mouth as well as social media my business began to grow. This has truly been a blessing to me and my family.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Overall the road has been smooth, the greatest challenge for me was maintaining the work/family balance. Time management is key to be successful in anything you do.

DNC Catering is a full-service catering company that also offers meal prep services in the greater Atlanta area. I am most proud of the transformations of some of my clients that have stuck with their healthy meal plans. I believe what sets me apart from others is my genuine passion I have for food. The connection between good food and health can’t be stressed enough, that why I use the freshest ingredients available. Also, my ability to personalize meals plans to meet my client’s specific dietary needs sets me apart from my peers.

Attention to detail, excellent customer service, as well as great food, are essential to my success.
