Today we’d like to introduce you to Donnisha Brown.
Donnisha, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My love for scented goods came after college. I needed aromatherapy for relaxation and creativity as far as the ambiance I wanted to set with candles and fragrance oils. It was like. I could be on a tropical island, a spa, or a garden depending on the fragrance and the mood set. I would find myself paying top dollar for luxury scents, which was not in my budget as a recent grad. After going to a candle making class, I learned ratios on making candles that would fill rooms and fell in love with the process.
My new found love for candle making with my best friend Sha, hoping to one day start a collection of my own. While I was serious about it, I did not make the moves to bring my vision to fruition. Being the great friend that she is, she surprised me with a candle making kit. However, with the kit, she planted a seed that encouraged me to do more research and to get better, so I did. Thank you Sha for always believing in me and my visions even when I cannot see them all the way through. I took a long break before I made another batch. I lacked the resources and confidence to try again.
After countless hours of research and media planning, I finally launched SCENTED by Sharee, March 6, 2020. It has been such a rewarding experience working for myself and bring a dream of mine to reality. SCENTED by Sharee brings a rich ambiance to any living space at an affordable price point.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to bringing SCENTED by Sharee to life has been a journey. Not completely smooth, but I have no complaints. Although SCENTED by Sharee is only a. few weeks old internet-wise, the ideal of it has lived in my head for years. Through my courage, perseverance, and support from my loved ones, I made it here. The hardest part was overcoming fear and starting.

SCENTED by Sharee is a luxury scent collection that offers quality candles, oils, and wax melts (currently) at an affordable price point. SBS is known for delivering excellent products that fit the price range of everyone. Every product at SBS is hand-poured and made with intentional love. What sets SBS apart from other brands is the quality of the price point. I want everyone to be able to enjoy our scents and to have the ability to create an ambiance that will make them comfortable.
