Meet Dr. CaSay Vaughn and Jay Claxton of The Franchise Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. CaSay Vaughn and Jay Claxton.

Neither of them can pinpoint the actual moment they met or even a concrete experience. The only thing they can verify is the fact that their love is infectious, natural, relentless and easy. Everyone who meets them from business to personal fall in love with the love they have for each other and their business ethic.

CaSay and Jay relocated to Atlanta after being casted for a couples reality show on a major network. Engaging in the Atlanta community, they quickly realize their gifts and relationships was the perfect fit. Reigning at 5’3,” she may not have a range of height but CaSay has a plethora in width and sprinkles her footprint throughout the entertainment industry. With almost a quarter of a century in the entertainment industry, Casay Vaughn continues to push the envelope and dominates her role in the media industry.

Casay Vaughn is an American Media and Business Strategist. In Media, she is known as both the master strategist and super producer. Dubbed the “Media Maven,” Casay has produced both Television and Radio. She has worked with companies such as NBC, TV One, Radio One, BET and SiriusXM, where she has left a major blueprint in the industry. Casay has worked with numerous Celebrities and Athletes and multiple Record Labels. Currently, CaSay serves as Vice President Board of Directors, The Black Media Honors. With over One Million listeners on multiple media platforms per week, The Franchise, Jay Claxton has taken the entertainment industry by storm. He embodies all that hard work and dedication requires.

A well respected Industry Vet, Jay Claxton has nurtured a solid reputation interviewing Hip-Hop superstars like ‪The Late Nipsey Hustle and Pop Smoke, Gucci Mane‬, T.I, Future, Jeezy, ‪Fat Joe‬, ‪Dj Khaled‬, ‪Meek Mill‬, to name a few. Jay Claxton proves that he effortlessly transitions as a successful Media Personality and Influencer. Longevity and success, for 18 years, Jay has maintained his #1 position as the DJ for the BIGGEST mix in America. Jay’s career embraces so many avenues. Jay, together with his “Best Half,” oversees multiple companies under the Franchise Group. In January 2020, Jay and Casay founded DJ’s Vote. DJ’s Vote is a nonpartisan organization designed to represent the concerns and interest of all people. DJ’s Vote is not affiliated with any political party. We are invested in promoting and displaying the message of the importance of becoming politically involved.

Their company, The Franchise Group is not just about Jay as a DJ it has four other umbrella companies: FRNCHS Clothing, FRNCHS MUSIC (Music Production), Franchise Media (consulting, event planning, industry mentorship, and artist development), PROSPERITY (philanthropy and community engagement) and FRNCHS Radio. The family that builds together stays together. This is so true to Jay and Casay. This powerful duo has created the platform called “When Men Talk” conversations needed in the African American Community with Celebrity Influencers. They are not just powerful the trajectory of their blended experience is unstoppable.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not been an easy road. We picked up our lives to chase our dreams together. Transplanting five states away from our children was painful. Of the five kids, we have Jay and I have two minors CALEEL 14 and TylerJae 8 they are our prize possession. We found that we had to do a lot of FaceTime and driving so we would not miss those moments.

The Franchise Group – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The Franchise Group has various entities. From Entertainment to philanthropy we make sure we entertain the Community and feed their needs as well. Our proudest moment would be when we collected over a 1000 pair of designer sneakers and provided those along with backpacks to kids to start a healthy school year.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success for us is easy, “When we are at a place that we can provide the food needed for those following us we are Successful.” For us it is about the give back not the notoriety.
