Meet Drew Giles of Giles Entertainment

Today we’d like to introduce you to Drew Giles.

Drew, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Since the dawn of the caveman storytelling has been a large part of the human experience, I imagine, and since I was birthed, it’s always been a large interest of mine. As a young lad, I always had a great appreciation for reading, drawing & playing video games. I almost ended up pursuing a career path in video game art & design but chose another love of mine being acting instead as I usually acted a clown in my younger days inciting laughter from those around me. I love to laugh. I remember being a 16-year-old fool and telling people that I was going to have a career on SNL as I began to dream about becoming a great actor… During my 20’s I became a student of acting and film then began taking it seriously for the next decade. This road led to some very cool on set experiences. With great experience points gained I began creating my own short stories and acting in them. Writing & directing then peaked my interest so I did that and called it Redneck Zombie. My latest and greatest is a project titled Wolfman In The City which I produced/created, co-wrote, and starred in. We recently filmed for six days September 2018 and it was  marvelous, simply marvelous I must say, We have some footage I’m really proud of. I have a series written I intend to pitch to Network Television, probably Adult Swim. I know they’d be interested, Adult Swim call me 🙂 Having the epic team at my side that I do I’m certain we can start a spark.

That’s a large part of my start beside all the frustration and failure that comes along with this pursuit of passion. It took me a long time to consider myself an artist and believe that I had something worthy to give.

Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t been the smoothest operation. There is still lots to learn and a long way to go to get to where I want to be with my endeavors.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Giles Entertainment – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am the Manager at a studio space in Chamblee, just North of the city located directly behind Third Rail Studios, we call GOMA Pro which is a full-service video production and post-production house. We have a giant green screen, sound room, editing suites, and the greatest vfx artist on the East Coast, Dosa Kim, also Creative Director here at GOMA Pro. Recently I started my own LLC titled Giles Entertainment which is an umbrella for all of my work.

Wolfman In The City is what I am most proud of as an artist. I brought a team of amazing people together that created something special they won’t ever forget and neither will I. The process itself was a massive learning experience and I got to make some magic happen for a little while. Looking forward to finishing the product soon so I can share it with others.

I don’t think anything sets me apart from others. We are all pretty similar, I guess all that matters is what you do with what ya got.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like best about this city are the friends I have in it… My family and my dog. I’m also a big fan of all of the movie productions taking place in Atlanta, GA.

The food. Atlanta has a nice variety of food and culture.

What I like least about Atlanta is the trolley system needs work… I’m just playing I don’t really have too many complaints… It’d be nice if there was an ocean. I like the way it rains in my city, especially in the summer time.
