Today we’d like to introduce you to Dylan Marie. Them and their team share their story with us below:
There were several thoughts and reasons for starting our art business. However, the main reason was to establish a foundation for Dylan to be able to support herself in the future without relaying on the government. We have always wanted her to have all of the normal teen years experiences like receiving a driver’s license and her 1st job. Dylan was not a typical 16yr old girl and a typical 1st job setting just wouldn’t do! Dylan is autistic and being overstimulated sometimes intensifies her anxiety. She loves to draw and write stories to express herself, why not do it to support herself? Dylan Marie’s Paintings & Illustrations was born just a week after her 16th birthday. She is now 17 years old and has a 1yr old profitable business.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Starting the business was very smooth and fun! I like doing FB Live shows, playing Disney music, and talking to my customers. It was hard at first, but now I have regular customers, and my music keeps me calm. My mom and brothers pack up the orders and my dad takes them to the post office. Working together helps!!

I specialize in fluid art/pour paintings, swirls, baby shown signature canvases, any and all creative ideas that come into mind. I am known for my amazing color combinations when it comes to fluid art and swirls. I am most proud of my customized baby shower art and fluid art. What sets me apart from others is that I am always underestimated.
What does success mean to you?
I define success by the amount of smiles I receive when customers open their packages or see something that I’ve created. It confirms that I am truly blessed to be a blessing in someone else’s life. Art and creativity is freedom. The freedom to just be Dylan is success.
