Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Condle and Shelby Gruber.
Emily and Shelby, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
We met 5 years ago and became friends instantly! We both shared a passion for being strong independent successful women. We would motivate and encourage each other by sharing business ideas, supporting each others business ventures, and supporting each other in our full time professions as well. We have always discussed starting a business together and we finally had the idea for Starry Nights Events, and it stuck instantly! We have always had a passion for extravagant events and we wanted to bring extravagant and magical events to all people of all ages.
Starry Nights Events provides unique and extravagant party styling and decor for people of all ages. We offer a variety of customizable themes and multiple types of parties such as Indoor Slumber Parties, Outdoor Glamping, Outdoor Picnics and Indoor Picnics. We do all the work so you can have all the fun. We bring everything to the location you choose and do all of the setup and breakdown. Our parties are perfect for birthdays for all ages, bridal showers, graduations, baby showers, anniversaries, work events, dinner parties plus more.
Emily is a very successful Esthetician/Laser Practitioner for Atlanta’s Top Female Plastic Surgeon and has managed multiple very successful venues in Atlanta. Emily loves creating magical events for her two-year-old daughter and her nieces and wanted to share that joy with others! She has an amazing eye for clean and simple yet extravagant and whimsical designs.
Shelby has a nact for business, organization and customer service. She has an extensive career as Director for a Start-Up and understands what it takes to exceed clients’ needs. In her spare time. Shelby has worked closely with her mother on various interior design and decorating events. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and Business, so she loves working with children!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
We began working on Starry Nights Events in February 2020 with the plan to launch in April as Spring/Summer is a very popular time for outdoor picnics and glamping. Covid-19 delayed our launch date and our ability to host these events. However, we are starting to take bookings (with precautions) and we are looking forward to a successful late summer/fall party season!
Starry Nights ATL – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are Atlanta’s premier party stylists, specializing in truly magical celebrations. We give our clients the gift of throwing a one-of-a-kind event without the stress, by designing and transforming their space into a dream come true.
Why do customers come to us: Many people want to host amazing events but might not know how or might not want to spend the time and effort styling the party. They don’t want to deal with the hassle of purchasing and coordinating all the decorations and supplies, setting up and breaking it all down. That’s where we come into play! Starry Nights Events allows others to host one of a kind, extravagant events for their friends and family without the hassle and stress!
What were you like growing up?
Growing up Shelby was always creative and interested in the arts and design. As life progressed she found a passion for business management. Now she is looking forward to combining both of those passions. Growing up Emily was always very social and outgoing she loved to make people laugh. She always wanted to work with children, but as she got older, she realized she had a true passion for Esthetics and making people feel good about themselves. She has been in the Plastic Surgery field for almost ten years now and is very excited to finally fulfill her childhood dream of working with children!
Both Shelby and Emily have always wanted to empower women and inspire young women. We work with other local female business owners to do such that. We offer and recommend add on’s for our customers, such as photographers, photo booths, balloon designs, cake and dessert creations, extravagant cheese board creations, DJs, plus more. We then collaborate on the events with local female businesses that provide these services such as Sima_Photography and Santiniminisweets!
