Today we’d like to introduce you to Ernest Bryant.
Ernest, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my own business because I got tired of working for other companies and feeling that the hard work and motivation I was putting into making their companies better was not bettering me and my family. I then began thinking, “I should go into business for myself.”
I have my Bachelor of Science Degree in Networking & Security Management. People always ask me, “Why aren’t you doing what you went to school for?” Having the freedom to make your own schedule, and making money for yourself, there is nothing like it. I will always have my degree to fall back on if I need it. I’m just enjoying my life with my family, and the flexibility that is owning your own business allows.
Out of this desire to start something meaningful and potentially something that I could use to build a legacy for my family, Bryant Professional Cleaning Services was born. I have always been passionate about cleaning. It is just something I have always enjoyed. It was the perfect passion to align with my entrepreneurial spirit.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting this business was never a walk in the park. The first year, I struggled to get any regular contracts and survived in the short term, small jobs. I tried all kinds of marketing tools including emails, mailing letters, and visiting businesses in person. I decided to try to use social media and working on my web presence. It was our website that brought in our first big national contract. Marketing is still hard work, but I’m really enjoying the challenge.

Bryant Professional Cleaning Services is a family owned & operated professional cleaning service. We are enthusiastic about cleaning and strive to provide excellent service to our customers, primarily commercial, at competitive rates.
We also do residential move-in, move-out cleaning. We pride ourselves on ensuring you are satisfied with your services. I, along with my wife, Tamika, started this business to have a legacy to leave our family. We both agreed that a family owned and operated business was the best way to do that. Why cleaning? Because I love it!
I was raised to believe that a clean home or workspace establishes the foundation for productivity, relaxation, and a happy workplace or household. It is my mission to have Bryant Professional Cleaning Services bring these attributes to your home or workplace.
What sets us apart from other in our line of work is that we bring an upbeat type of attitude so that when we finish cleaning, we leave a positive stamp on your establishment. We feel that building a strong connection with our customers is important. We want them to know that they have us to rely upon.
Our slogan is, “We Are Serious About Clean!” I just enjoy a well-cleaned environment, and I know the client will enjoy it too.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory is when I played every sport trying to keep up with my older siblings.
