Today we’d like to introduce you to Faheem Ali and Melvin Bratton.
Faheem Ali and Melvin Bratton founded Keen Water with a clear vision in mind of helping people experience ultimate hydration while helping them to feel confident about their health. There was a void in the beverage industry that they knew they would be able to fill, and that was creating alkaline water that did not go through an electrical process.
This past March, we celebrated our one year anniversary. Over the past year, we have created community partnerships in an effort to keep our communities hydrated. We have also been named the premiere water partner for the NFL Alumni Association. This summer, we are slated to partner with over 40 youth football camps throughout the country.
Has it been a smooth road?
In business, you have failures and you have successes. We have experienced both, but I am proud to say that a year later, our client base is expanding. We can be found in restaurants, hotels, gas stations, and even on college campuses.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Keen Water – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Keen Water is a black-owned company founded by two athletes, Faheem Ali, a past Eastern Michigan University and Louisiana Tech University football player and Melvin Bratton, a retired Denver Broncos running back. Keen Water is one of the nation’s top water suppliers.
What sets Keen Water apart from other alkaline water bottling companies is that Keen does not use an electrical charge or any chemicals to producing high pH water. It maintains a high stable pH because ionic organic trace minerals, such as Ca++, Mg++, K+, Zn, and Na+, are fused into the water through a proprietary process, therefore raising the pH of Keen to between 9 and 10. Keen water is one of the only alkaline drinking waters currently on the market that does not use an electrical process (i.e. electrolysis) to produce high alkaline water. Many alkaline drinking waters on the market use electrolysis to raise the alkalinity of the water.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love that Atlanta is the city of dreams. There is such a wealth of amazing, black-owned thriving businesses throughout the city and I love how are city supports us. There is not too much that I don’t love about our city. It is at home. It is where we started this business. It is who first supported our business.
