Today we’d like to introduce you to Faiz Imran.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Faiz. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
At age 11 selling phone cases to buy a phone I wanted until I sparked an interest in penny stocks and overall lost 8,000 over the course of 2 years and then I shifted back to selling phone cases and accessories and I also sold fragrances that my uncle would give me from his work since he worked at a fragrance company at the time. So, I started out hustling at any and every event I could until one day when I was hustling an individual who was trying test my persistence, he was impressed and allowed me to supply some products at his gas station. It was a success so I slowly stray approaching other locals stores and gas stations and all while building relationships with foreign manufacturers. I didn’t start growing like wildfire until my manufacturer told me about a product that was being ordered in unusual high quantities called fidget spinners.
I bought a small batch which took a while to sell until it exploded on social media then I would sell out every time a new shipment came in I placed a massive order of 10,000 fidget spinners and started supplying local stores with it and everyone would sell out almost immediately and I started putting people on a back order list I had more order than I could keep up with and shipments wouldn’t come in on time because of such high demand manufactured was getting delayed eventually I caught up with orders and started giving the spinners in batches of 10 to young adults and students who wanted to sell them but didn’t have enough money to buy them upfront so they would sell then and then pay me back and it got really popular it is now called the free supply program and in doing so unknowingly created myself a passive income source we hit it big with fidget spinners and even bigger with pop -sockets.
While that business was flourishing on its own I set out to create something unique that solved a real problem I spent a long time reading and learning on how to spot problems to solve and couldn’t find one until I experienced a specific problem multiple times in the same week and it really upset me. The problem was I would either forget to apply my fragrance when I was in a rush or it would wear off by the time I got to the place I was going. I started making 3d models online after teaching myself how to use CAD programs and I came up with many prototypes which all didn’t work until I messed up and created a working one by accident I then developed the product fully, using the feedback of people who desperately wanted the product to become a reality because they had the same problem. The product is soon to launch with the name Ever scent and it is now patent – Pending we will be launching on a crowdfunding platform but throughout the development of Ever scent I co- founded job mentor a free online resource educating students on the job market and I built my social media up by posting daily and being featured on some major pages with the headline “this kid is the next bill gates “and this kid is the next big thing” All while my wholesale business was growing and fueling my new ventures.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
NO not at all. I faced being told constantly that I was wasting my time and will fail and it was tough especially when all I was doing was failing over and over again. I also had to balance my school work and at the time I went to a private religious school in addition to my normal curriculum and also had to balance my social life.
Overall this whole experience opened my eyes to who my real friends are and who the fake ones were the real one stuck with me no matter how tough things got and how much hot water I was in.
I also learned people don’t take you seriously at a young age they kept comparing me to themselves and saying I can’t do it now how will you do it at your age you’re just a kid you don’t know anything. I took those words as an insult I didn’t like that someone would judge how hard I was going to work based on my age That line pushed me more than anything else and into giving it 110% I wanted to make sure I would prove them wrong.
So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the FI Enterprises & Holdings LLC story. Tell us more about the business.
I am in the wholesale, Fragrance and accessory, insurance, and education business. What sets me apart is I did this all by age 15 and I didn’t grow up in royalty I grew up in a middle-class household. I am most proud of how I am now able to help others start their own businesses by giving them risk-free opportunities with the free supply program at faizimran.com.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I was lucky to have a family that supported me and to have friends that stuck by me. I got lucky that I was shouted out by big pages and that allowed me to start partnering with brands and business to bring my followers exclusive discounts and special offers
Overall, I believe it’s a matter of persistence until you hit it right. less good luck and back luck and more staying motivated and going through the hardships
