Today we’d like to introduce you to Fara Charles.
Fara, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
To be honest, I moved to Atlanta in 2008 with no plan, no guidance, but always big dreams. After about a year of being there, I started to get more into the party dancehall scene and started to do events because I had became so popular. I’ve always been the type of girl to make my popularity make money for me. I then went on to start an all-girls promotional group called dream girls! We took off like a rocket! We were hosting all the top party‘s in Atlanta within the years of 2009 through 2011! At one point we were even connected with AG entertainment who we all know is a very big FUCKIN deal in Atlanta! But of course we know all great times must come to and end. I found out I was pregnant in the beginning of 2011 and had my son in 2012 and kind of Navigated my passion for promotion to Fort Lauderdale, Florida which I now reside to this day. But in Florida, I found passion for so many more things such as fashion, doing taxes, networking, building Solid relationships and now becoming the CEO of my own brand/business TFCP or www.TFCPCO.com!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely was not a smooth ride in Atlanta because I was in that big city alone by myself. Of course, with the company of friends but we were all the same age and all doing the same stupid shit! But it was definitely the best ride I’ve ever had in my life and I do not REGRET ANYTHING about it at all. In Atlanta I found myself. I found what God had put me on this earth to do and that’s connecting people! Let’s not forget I met the best friends that anyone could ever ask for in the city of Atlanta! (S/o Queen, Lyeda, Resse & Mila) Forever I love Atlanta, fuck it!
TFCP – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
There’s a whole world of stifling models, designers, hairstylist and MUA’S that just can’t seem to catch a break due to not being popular enough or not chasing enough clout. The thing is some people just aren’t into all that extra stuff they just want to CREATE! So without even knowing #TFCP created by Founder, CEO Fara Charles slowly over the years became the Representative and platform for the rejected hella talented underdogs. No matter what race, size, shape, sex or ethnicity, we wanted you to know that you are always welcome on our platform if you’re talented of-course. See to us it’s simple. If you’re creative and unique we want to show you off! No matter what it is that you do. After eight shows, three Major city tours (Miami, NYC & ATL), 100 different showcased designers and 500 different unique handpicked models we decided to take it a step further and launch our Talent Agency on 1/1/2020! We’d like to show that love, dedication and hard work through our agency we’ll birth some of this generation’s rarest fashion successful healthy (very important to us) superstar icons! This ain’t no call girl type of agency either! We are legit and have official turned our brand into a certified LLC (thanks to the besty)! We’re also making room for possibly getting into production, being that our Production sister group Girlzonly_pro Directed their 1st video “you owe me” by artist PoeticSaj in 2018 on our CEO’s Bday October 25th! (it’s true ya’ll go look it up on youtube) There’s no telling what industry #TFCP might tap into next but what we do know is whatever it is… WE READY! (S/o Tiff H.)
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
To me, success is longevity and generational wealth. It’s not always about winning but more about the steps you take to win. When you win you want to stay a winner right? you don’t want to win one time and keep losing because you didn’t take the proper steps to get where you were. That’s whack! I live by this saying that Jay Z said he said if you can’t buy it twice, that means you can’t afford it and to me that’s the really shit I ever heard! So to me success is when my kids, kids are good and everything I have I took the time to get and I can buy it twice if I want! Even my damn kids 😝
