Meet Joe N. Freeman of FNF Dynamics & Freeman Dynamics in Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joe N. Freeman.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Joe. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born in Belle Glade, Florida (a small poor migrant town in rural Palm Beach County), to two teenage parents (Joe and Iletha Freeman). My father having little or no resources, enlisted in the United States Navy. As for my mother, she begins her journey of employment in the public school education system as a teacher’s aide. As a child, I could call words with the best of them but had a very difficult time comprehending what I read. Until around nine years old, when my life was forever changed after a long trip with my grandfather (Frank Smith). Frank taught me the importance of being able to read. Although, I was able to read I still was an average student in high school, I was able to get accepted into college. While in college, I taught the impact of my grandfather and great educators along my path, which leads me to major in early childhood education. After graduation, I decided to stay in Georgia and begin my life as an educator but after five years of teaching. I felt that maybe going into the field of education was a mistake. Fortunately, my wife knew my gift was working with young people and convinced me to stay in the field of education but with a new focus, so I tried to find ways to reach students differently. Thus, The Adventures of BG series, The Adventures of BG Scholarship and FNF Dynamics was created.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My life was filled with many challenges like: learning to read later in my childhood, becoming a teen father in college, having two  other premature children (one that only weighed one pound and five ounces), finding a job after college that left me feeling empty and exhausted, having to work two jobs for 15 years all while taking care of my sick wife (who was diagnosed with cancer our first year of marriage). While still in search of my purpose to reach and teach children.

Please tell us about FNF Dynamics & Freeman Dynamics – what should we know?
FNF Dynamic’s primary goal is to provide kids with a happy, healthy, and rewarding experiences in a safe learning environment. We are committed to students gaining self-esteem and self-confidence while learning from new experiences. Our programs are designed to challenge, inspire, and motivate children of various ages, while strongly advocating the need to understand and advance the maturity of students through the development of age-appropriate curricula. At FNF, we strive to create a program which allows the natural creativity and individual flair to create memories that will last a lifetime. F&F Dynamic’s goal is to Enhance, Excite, Educate, Enlighten, and Empower students for success in core content and cultural curriculum areas with a focus on student Engagement and Enjoyment.

The enrichment programs at F-n-F are devised with the successes of our students in mind. Programs group students according to their developmental stage. K-1st, 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th. This has proven to be a success at F-n-F due to the construction of our program ideology. The idea is, those children that may have difficulties, the younger students will receive secondary assistance from an older student. The younger student hears the instruction twice then will receive one on one attention. The older student is put in a teaching position where he/she has to apply carefully the information and then instruct. This all happens under the careful watch of staff. This action instills confidence and a true understanding of the information for both students. There are at least two teachers or an assistant to help with any questions and assistance without interrupting the lesson. F-n-F enrichment programs are designed so that no student falls behind or feels left out. F-n-F sole purpose is to improve the development of all our students and put them in a position to be successful in the future.

Joe N. Freeman Jr. Black Enterprise Modern Man of 2018 (https://www.blackenterprise.com/modern-man-author-joe-freeman/), teacher of the year 2017-18 for Atlanta Public Schools., one of the most engaging and authentic people you will ever meet on the subject of youth empowerment, is a children’s book author of “The Adventures of BG: The Importance of Positive Self-Esteem.” The desire to write “The Adventures of BG Series” came out of Joe’s own experiences as a young father, husband and as a teacher. Being a dedicated and determined teacher in Atlanta Public Schools for over a decade, left him wanting to do more for youth.

This passion to motivate and empower youth stems from his self-reflection and the impact he had on students. As a teacher at a high performing school, he often looked around at the trappings that came with the big name and wondered why he always felt like he could be doing more. After much reflection, he set off on a new path as an advocate for all youth. Joe is fully engaged in his quest to getting his message out about the power of positive self-esteem and youth empowerment, at work and social settings. Through hard work, and a reputation for remaining true to my internal moral, I am able to build a business that includes: Youth Empowerment, Children’s book author, mentorship, scholarship, and youth Science and Engineering Enrichment Specialist.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I am every kid and every kid is me! I have the ability to meet kids where they are and connect with them on various levels.

Who else deserves credit – have you had mentors, supporters, cheerleaders, advocates, clients or teammates that have played a big role in your success or the success of the business? If so – who are they and what role did they plan / how did they help.
Everyone that has ever believed in my vision and supported my dreams, deserves credit for helping me become the person I am today and the person I will be tomorrow. Especially my amazing wife, my courageous kids (Jaylon 20, Maitae 15, and Jace 5), I thank God for your support!
