Frances, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
After overcoming abuse, self-medicating empty places, defeating depression, walking through divorce and many more of life challenges, Our founder, Frances Ann Bailey decided to give back through her life changing experiences to women who are once like herself or women going through similar events.
The mission of Red Door Empowerment is to educate, empower, and equip women to walk out of things holding them hostage and walk in deliverance to reach their destiny through community outreach, workshops, support groups and More!!
It is our hope that women with the resources given through our organization are able to walk through Red Door healed, free, and armed with knowledge.
Born and raised on Eastern Shore of Virginia, Frances is a God lover, Amazon Best Selling Author wife, mother, philanthropist, and an award-winning certified coach. After answering the call, she obtained her certifications in life, empowerment and life recovery coaching. As a way to strengthen her leadership skills, she then went and earned her certifications in foundations of leadership, advanced leadership, and executive leadership. Not only is Frances the CEO of Frances Bailey Enterprises, LLC but she is also the Founder and President of the nonprofit organization Red Door Empowerment. After receiving her Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice with a specialization in CJ management and administration and she is now furthering her education with a Master’s in Public Administration. Frances serves in the governing body on the Board of Directors for the Eastern Shore Center for Independent Living. Having a personal relationship with Christ is one of Frances priorities.
I was in a dark place in my life over 10 years ago battling so many demons. After giving my life to Christ, my life began to change. I was set free from so many things I use to battle with that now I help others women. I have been back to achieve everything I want. I was a college dropout but went back to obtain my degree and several other certifications. I became a homeowner about a year after changing my life around. So much has happened that I’m grateful for. I am a now best-selling author and I write to help others women overcome things they think they can’t and coach them to reach ever goal and it’s never too late. God birthed my businesses/ministry in my uncomfortableness. I was going through a rough period but I trusted him that he wouldn’t be telling me to do something he hadn’t equipped me for.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Some struggles at first was trying to adjust working my business and my regular full-time job being a wife and mother at the same time. I was also dealing with some health issues that were chronic, however I pushed through. It wasn’t easy I will not lie but it has been worth it.

What’s set me apart is the having my businesses on a foundation of faith. I coach and serve because I’m called and this is purpose. This isn’t about me, it’s about others. I know my business will continue to prosper as long God stays a part of it and as long as I continue to be obedient to his calling.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am planning for my nonprofit to go international in serving individual with our resources. One of my biggest dreams is having a sober living group as a branch off my nonprofit. It’s coming.
For Frances Bailey Enterprises, I am current in another book collaboration that will help others realize the power of positive affirmations and also working on solo books to help other women break from addictions, depression and toxic relationships. My coaching business is expanding.
Both of my businesses are recently a business internship for Salisbury University to mentor students who were seeking the journey of entrepreneurship. Hopefully I will be doing that again even with other big universities in the future.
