Today we’d like to introduce you to Georgia Wolfe-Samuels.
When Executive Chef Wayne Sharpe crossed paths with Restaurant CPAs and Entrepreneurs Dwight Samuels and Georgia Wolfe-Samuels, the birth of EscovitcheZ Legendary Island Cuisine was inevitable. Chef Sharpe dreamed of owning a Jamaican restaurant for most of his life. The Samuels, on the other hand, were focused on managing a series of fine dining restaurant establishments in and around Atlanta, GA. The connection was the divine work of God when in December 2018, Chef Sharpe was hired to cater the funeral repass for Mr. Samuels’s mom.
Traditionally, Mrs. Samuels would cater the family events but was unable to due to a recent health challenge. A request on Facebook for a chef-led her to Mr. Sharpe. The connection was instant as Chef Sharpe was so easy to work with, which allowed the family to focus on the funeral arrangements. A couple of months later, the three decided to combine their vision and talents which included cooking, interior design, accounting, and project management, etc. to fill the void for an upscale Caribbean restaurant on the Eastside of Atlanta, popularly known today as EscovitcheZ Legendary Island Cuisine.
Located in The Shoppes at Webb Ginn, 1350 Scenic Hwy S, Suite 804, Snellville GA 30078, EscovitcheZ Legendary Island Cuisine is a bespoke spot that is welcoming to everyone, providing a cozy and classy ambience, friendly staff and, authentic Caribbean island cuisine that promises to entertain your palette. Their menu offers a fusion of cooking techniques from destinations that include Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago, and offerings of beer and tropical drink options unique to a variety of Caribbean destinations such as Jamaica, Barbados, and St. Lucia to name a few.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Absolutely not, there were challenges along the way spanning from construction/buildout, the hiring process and finding employees that understand and are able to execute the vision, and the cumulative licensing process are examples of hurdles along the way.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with EscovitcheZ Legendary Island Cuisine – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
