Meet Glenn Murray and Keisha Rose of WillJoy Enterprises

Today we’d like to introduce you to Glenn Murray and Keisha Rose.

Glenn and Keisha, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We took our collective experience in film, publishing and marketing to create a joint venture WillJoy Enterprises, a collection of companies that will create content including video and film production and build related products around those. Named in honor of each of our deceased parents (Keisha’s father Willie and Glenn’s mother Joyce), this unique venture will leverage their collective 20 years of experience in our respective fields.

About WillJoy’s Founders
Glenn Murray is the founder of 220 Communications, parent company to 220 Publishing and Food Wine and Spirits Ventures. The publishing unit has produced over 50 original titles. He is a native of Memphis,
TN.

Keisha Rose is an actress, model, producer and writer she has over 15 film credits and is the star, writer and producer of the upcoming web series Meet Karma. She currently stars in the web series Sistahood.
She is a native of Chicago, IL.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Never a smooth road, Separately we’ve encountered setbacks both personally and professionally. And we expect to encounter more but also we have the full confidence that we’ll overcome whatever gets thrown in our way.

Please tell us about WillJoy Enterprises.
Willjoy will support existing film projects, leverage a team of writers to adapt books and ideas to screenplays, provide music and promotional products for film and video, and build brands around the company’s existing content. We have already launched a cosmetics and candle line (the IAM Collection by Keisha Rose), and have provided original music for the web series Meet Karma (starring and co-produced by Keisha), several writing
projects including screenplays and series have been completed and this fall, the production arm of the
the company, G-Rose Productions will launch the talk show “Making Love Better Twogether” in Nov. on the streaming network Inde TV.

Separately, we are known for acting (Keisha) and other business ventures like Wine Crawl Atlanta and 220 Publishing (Glenn). Those things will continue but combining forces under one conglomerate makes sense as we can leverage each property to help grow the whole enterprise.

We’re most proud of how fast a start we’ve gotten. In six, we have a series produced and ready to air. We’ve completed two screenplays and have developed several concepts for documentaries and even a television series. We have a huge library of material through our 220 Publishing unit that we intend to leverage. And we spend at least two days a week “in the lab” just ideating about content.

Glenn:
What sets us apart is our diversification. By owning 220 Communications and its family of companies (Wine Crawl, 220 Publishing) brings us a built-in audience. Keisha’s knowledge of the entertainment industry was a huge plus and convinced me to take the job.

Keisha:
Our drive, determination and desire to do the work necessary is what I believe sets us both apart. We’ve done 24-hour writing sessions to complete a screenplay. There’s no boundaries which is our unofficial tag line

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Glenn/Keisha
I would be smarter about the time spent on projects and partnerships. Time is truly the only asset you can’t recapture.
