Meet Hannah Aryee of Hannah The Creator in Norcross

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Aryee.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Art found me when I was ten years old. I never thought art would take me this far, from drawing to designing, I imagine art through everything. It’s hard to categorize my art, everything kind of fall into this big melting pot.

I don’t like sticking to one thing. I’m always learning, wanting to try new things, I feel like you can never learn everything about Art. There is always something new out there that’s trending or to be found. Everyone has their one style, their own niche. I, on the other hand, think I’m the opposite. I haven’t found a certain style yet, or niche, I kind of like that. Being unpredictable.

Currently, I’m 23 years old and the new art director for Hype Hair Magazine. I’m more than excited that I accomplished one of my top goals in life at such a young age! I’m looking forward to what is next, and unexpected opportunities.

Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, I’ve had a lot of struggles along the way. One of the biggest struggles was finding a job in my career, graphic design. I always had a notion that it was hard for me to get a job because of how young I look. But that didn’t stop me to keep going and not give up.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I have a wide variety of skills, therefore I have multiple businesses I own and affiliated with. Love In Motion is a wedding photography and videography company. I co-founded Love in motion with 2 of my longtime friends, I’m most proud about that and because we are black-owned makes it better.

Just recently I’ve become affiliated with Hype Hair Magazine as their new Art Director! Being that I am considered “young” I am most proud of that because I accomplished so much in a short period of time at a young age. I’m more than grateful for that opportunity.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I do think Atlanta as a whole is an excellent place of business for creatives/art. I recommend anyone who is an artist, photographer designer, etc. to start here because you never know who you will meet and who is watching. The only thing I think Atlanta could improve on is more events surrounded by networking with creatives more press about the creatives in the community.
