I began my yoga practice more than a decade ago. A bit of a wanderer, I struggled to find a sense of home and healing after the passing of a parent paired with a very broken heart. A way to find stillness within myself, yoga became my initial introduction to the power of the healing that resides within us. My personal practice has evolved to encompass so much more than postures, and while yoga and meditation serve as a staple in my healing recipe, throughout the years, I have also discovered other realms of healing and growth through Reiki, tarot, and astrology analysis. For me and my craft, each of these tools has been an unfolding gift of personal and spiritual growth. My journey has led me to compassionately share these important growths, inspiring tools, and practices with other seekers. I look forward to sharing this magic with you.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Struggles are sure to occur along any path. I will say that every journey and every story is filled with struggles, but all things we seek to overcome. I have shaped a lifestyle that went against the grain of what was to be expected. I left home at a young age, worked my way through college, and immediately left the United States with a college degree to live in the Middle East. That was more than a decade ago, and i have not stopped traveling to learn and seek out energy works. Every experience has been magic and served a great purpose, but the biggest challenge i have had to over come on my journey has been my gut. Literally my stomach! My health has been tested many times, being set to bed rest from parasites and intestinal infections. So, I joke, that the hardest lesson I have learned would be to take caution when drinking unfiltered water while traveling. The journey and the roads may not always be smooth, but actively seeking your best self will determine the direction and how you drive. In my own searching, the roads have been rough, but as I have gathered the tools of yoga, Reiki, and energy works, my journey continues to become more enjoyable and bliss-filled.

Hiawassee Healing is a business built on providing compassionate, yet straight forward insight to promote self-awareness and self-healing. Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I made a home of the wooded world around me in the small town of Northeast Ohio. The winters were cold, the summers were hot, and with a back yard covered in trees, the day’s options for playing were endless. A row of closely planted Firs (Christmas trees) ran along the edge of my family’s property line, fanning out a circumference of cones and needles that always begged me to them. I discovered early on in my outside pursuits for fun that these Firs had been calling me close to showcase a tucked away world. Their closely gathered lower branches created a thatched roof version to my very own floor level tree house. Ever the decorator, I took pleasure in gathering feathers, stones, sticks, and rubble to play homemaker with my coniferous wall spaces. Hours and the sun would pass overhead as I connected with the world beneath these trees. Throughout many years and seasons, I often hosted family and friends into my needle-bed bunker, sharing my love for nature, connection, and community to a different part of our world that was always within reach for us, but beautifully tucked out of view.
