Today we’d like to introduce you to Jah Richard.
Jah, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It all started in 2013 when I made the decision to leave my small hometown, family and high school where I was in dual enrollment (taking college courses as well as high school to obtain a two-year associate) to move to Atlanta and figure it all out. Growing up I wasn’t sure how or when but I always wanted to get out and find better and more opportunity so when the opportunity came I packed my bags.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Absolutely not. Believe it or not, my hardest challenge has been me! Because at the end of the day even without support, claps or praise for dedication I have to want I for myself regardless. Staying consistent and finding the strength to keep going while also in a way not letting lack of certain things and pride derail you is a lot itself.

I’m a model. I’m not sure of my specialty lol but I’ve gotten a lot of buzz from my outlandish and creative shoots that challenge gender norms and masculinity boundaries. I’m most proud of my versatility and ability to come up with a concept and fully execute it with what I have without any major production or budget. What sets me apart from others is simple I’m not them and their not me, my journey and story is different from the next and we all have reasons for our grind that’s the beauty of the human race.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Hmm success for everyone is different me myself defines success by making myself proud and doing all the things I said I wanted and others said I couldn’t. I constantly look for growth while also learning and enjoying my current state as long as you’re learning and growing that’s success itself.
