Thanks for sharing your story with us Jasmine. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my brand my junior year of college, then, it was called Boujie Clutch. I started selling t-shirts marketing my brand along with clutches and boots made by myself. I was always interested in helping other people Marketing and sale an Idea or look. So when I graduated, I accepted a job in Atlanta at a great marketing firm where I was able to use my skills as well as grow them to recreate my brand. Being financially stable and having passive income has always been a goal for me. So learning new things and passing them on to other entrepreneurs became not only a thing with me but it became my brand in itself. H.O.E. Lifestyle (Helping Others Elevate) started as a blog site, giving insight to others like myself on financial freedom, passive & residual income, and building my brand.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing is ever smooth for one! When you are passionate about something and you put your all into it, there will be bumps, detours and curves. For me my detour was having my daughter earlier this year. She definitely opens my eyes and put my motor skills into full drive. One thing I struggled with was staying consistent. I had to hold myself accountable for things done and undone and doing that made me realize I’m the only one holding myself back from making H.O.E. lifestyle what I know it could be.
Please tell us about H.O.E. Lifestyle Marketing.
H.O.E. Lifestyle (Helping Others Elevate) is a blog site & content page, giving insight to other entrepreneurs like myself on financial freedom, passive & residual income, and building brands. It started out as me just blogging day to day about how I was going to increase my streams of income, prepare for my wedding all while raising a child. I soon realized there were other entrepreneurs in the same place as me so I wanted to help them. Hence the name Helping Others Elevate. Now the acronym came in place because of marketing. When someone hears the name H.O.E. Lifestyle it immediately put them in the mindset of the word itself, leaving them to ask me who? What? And why? I’m most proud of my brand and how I’m able to help businesses grow and expand while teaching myself as I go.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is growing up being that talented sibling. I was always called in to do things because I knew how to draw, sing, dance, write poetry you name it! I use to be very passionate about fashion so I used to design clothing sketches in elementary all the way to high school.
