Today we’d like to introduce you to Jean-Paul.
Jean-Paul, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m an independent artist from NYC. I’ve started up my LLC for my music career/Merchandise and recently released my debut album. I started at GSU, studying marketing, and have been self-sufficient ever since. My only goal now is to continue traveling to different parts of the world to collaborate on new music and create a visual album for this debut. New Custom merch is in the works as well – Hopefully shows too depending on how the world recovers from recent events.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been challenging without proper funding but staying focused is the most important part of it all.
Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I’ve had the pleasure of working with other talented people, such as Diamond Pearle (MUA) and TinkHer (Atlanta). Demarcus Adams is amazing with the camera… (Houston). More importantly, the creative process behind the music was amazing with my engineer and producers. It’s really quality work.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Being able to drop a full album was amazing – the deluxe is even better and I was so happy to have a digital booklet made alongside the project, made especially for iTunes.
