Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Anderson.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Jeremy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I can’t depict how the educational system will change in the future, but I do know we have a lot to bring to the table. Growing up, I struggled a lot in school and had years of experiencing failure. I experienced everything from a diagnosis of ADHD, repeated failure in school, and then eventually drug & alcohol abuse. Luckily for me, my story didn’t end there. During my third attempt at the 9th Grade, I had a group of teachers who refused to give up on me. Through the support of my family, my faith, and the faith that these teachers had in me, I bounced back. I eventually caught back up with my right grade, graduated from high school on time, and went on to receive a Bachelors and Masters degree from Oakwood University. Today, I’m the published author of seven books and have been privileged to travel all over the U.S, with my motivational speaking. I’ve also had the opportunity to speak across the globe in countries like Cape Town, South Africa, Sydney, Australia, and Bangalore, India, just to name a few.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road to get to this place has been extremely hard. My wife Traci and I both walked away from our full-time careers in 2012 to answer this calling. We knew that in order for me to touch the world with this message of hope and perseverance, we had to go all in and be prepared to endure the necessary sacrifices. So much so that we had to exhaust our savings account, retirement plan, and our 401k just to get by! Like with any relationship, when the finances are tight, and the communication is off, things can get rough. We knew that in order for us to make it, we had to work as a team, so we got marriage counseling and our bond got stronger… and as we began to grow as a couple, the business began to grow, and soon skyrocket!!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Jeremy Anderson Group, LLC story. Tell us more about it.
The Jeremy Anderson Group, LLC, is an educational consulting firm based out of Atlanta GA. I work closely with school districts across the country and internationally, helping their schools go to the Next Level! I give motivational keynote speeches and provide professional development for teachers to help them connect with even the most troubled students.
I also give motivational speeches to the students at this school. It’s no surprise to see students break into tears during my speeches. I can’t explain it to you, but when I speak I’m able to make a connection with the hearts of the students, and that connection sparks hope within their soul. My story is one of overcoming and perseverance. When students find out where I was, and where I am now, they have proof that they too can make it!
Our company has now produced our Next Level Students Character Curriculum for grades K-12! Our SEL and PBIS curriculum is an added resource that schools need to help improve behavior and student achievement! In addition to the curriculum for Elementary, Middle and High School Students, we also have the book Next Level Teaching,
for teachers, and the book Next Level Parents, for parents. We believe that in order for us to ensure the success of our students, parents and teachers need extra resources as well.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the future, we plan to have our curriculums in school districts in all 50 states, and a team of trainers that can work with the thousands of school districts around the country, and internationally.
In January of 2019, we launched our first-ever, Next Level Leadership Academy in Phoenix, Arizona. The goal
is to have multiple NL Leadership Academy’s across the globe.
