Meet Jessica Holt of Elite Lifestyle Solutions (Elite Fitness) in Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Holt.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve always been active and truly have a passion for helping others. Career wise, I knew that I wanted to do something that encompassed both. I attended Clayton State University where I received my B.S in Health and Fitness Management (Exercise Science). After graduating, I became a certified as an Exercise Physiologist through ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) and started my career in cardiac rehabilitation, while also working for a local gym and a corporate wellness company. Full time jobs were hard to come by after graduation so, I pieced together my part time jobs which later molded a unique set of combined work experiences for me. I was able to work with various populations middle aged, young, seniors, working class (corporate), etc. After three years, I later obtained a position as lifestyle director at a senior living community, basically implementing a whole person centered approach to successfully aging and remaining active. I really enjoyed this, but I really wanted to hone in on the physical aspects of aging and really utilize my skills and abilities to focus on that. All while working full time, I developed a business concept that incorporated all three areas of my career, senior health and wellness, personal training and corporate wellness. Over the past 8 years, I’ve taught group classes, bootcamps, one on one training, sport specific training, health fairs and corporate events. Last year, I decided to branch out, focus more on one on one training and small groups, build clientele and renting out a small studio space.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s been a fairly smooth road so far, I’ve had great support from my family and friends. Transitioning my business model and building a brand has likely been the main challenge, not major, but challenging for sure. I took the route of branding with the mindset of “so what, everyone trains” it’s your brand that separates you and makes you unique. I’ve recently ventured out into active wear and inspirational paraphernalia (clothing and Dad caps) that speaks to the everyday dreamer. Doer. Go getter to “Retrain your lifestyle” in whatever way that speaks to you. And in three words “Aspiration. Inspiration. Motivation” retrain your mind, your body, your level of thinking, your bad habits etc. ASPIRE to achieve it, seek INSPIRATION to accomplish it, be MOTIVATED to do it. This speaks to your whole lifestyle, each person can relate in his or her own unique way.
